Its fun when you swap a part then relise you have to take it back off to swap another, I alos have all kinds of random pumming coming out of normally plugged coolant and oil ports for the air comp and heater. The biggest thing slowing me down is the food poisoning I got friday night.
How can that be? There's a fitting that screws in where the N/A sensor goes that gose to a line to the turbo and the sensor is in the turbo. If it is we have plenty of adapters at work and if we don't have what i need the hose shop accros the street will have it.
As for the hardest part nothing is all that difficult. But the thing I had the most trouble with so far was getting the fule filter braket and alter nator on they share the same bolts and you gotta hold your toung just right. Also I had a retarded moment when I swaped the IPs I pulled the pump gear and all and tryed to drop it down if I dropped it perfectly straight down it should be in time as both mottors were at TDC compresion #1, but I don't kno if i dropped it straight down so i'm gunna pull the pump and gear cover and have a look to make sure, since it will be easyer to do this now than when the motor is in the truck.
I remember hearing that the hole for where the oil pressure sensor would normally go is drilled and tapped to a larger size fitting. Just thought I'd give you a heads up on that and prevent any surprises.
Well I worked on it a bit tonight and found another hurtal. Went to put one of the maifolds on and the bolt wouldn't thread in so i put it down and look and theres a broken off bolt in there Oh well guse my $32 millwakee titianium drill bits get to pay for them selfs again. All i have left is that manifold the oil cooler turbo, valve covers and the coolant and oil sensors. Then I can swing it.
It's always something. I work on this stuff at about the same speed you do. I just plug away at it until it's done. It's not like I'm ripping somebody off that's paying me by the hour.
