Thats pretty much what I found gues I'll go knock my teeth out and hope the tooth fairy comes so i can get some batteries. If i wasn't so against taking up space in the bed i would mount a couple group 31s back there they are too tall to fit under my hood but i can get them gor 70 bucks a pop and they have a higher CCA.
wally mart my dad got some there they worked good for about 3 years, but now there getting were if its not drove every day then they wont stay up good, paid 60 dollars each they are everstart, 1000 cranking amp, my truck came with some kinda huge industrial like batteries 1100 cold cranking amps below 32 degrees, at 0 degrees mine will spin the motor very fast and thats with 15 w40 rotella in it too
Well it is Jimmy Johnson blue as Starmilt calls it so it should out run just about any thing. I have no idea I would say no because the factory turbo motor had more displacement butI was running the same boost on it as i will be on this one. Couldn't get more than 7 psi due to many exaust leaks that should now be fixed. So with the same 7psi of boost the 6.9 will have a higher efedtive compression ratio and will have a higher compresion ratio befor boost. I have the pump timed the same as on my 7.3 so we'll see. Once i win the lotery and get head studs and DPS stage 1s it should be a mean motor. Of coures half the guys at work swear the turbo is gunna kill it but the only one I would even entertian the thought of listening too says as long as i watch the pyro and boost it will live.
Well if you are working at an international dealer the only 6.9s with turbos you see are broken, funny how most people don't bring in there properly funtioning vehicle. Its funny when you work at a dealership where you see mostly one make you start to think they are junk I mean we see way more broke down internationals then freight shakes. Alough IH has made some of thwe most durable trucks out there as long as you stay away from the VTs. I rubbed it in there faces when an 89 ish 7.3 came in with a prehistoric ATS turbo on it and the only thing wrong was when it was installed they didn't relocate the glowplug relay so it eventualy got melted siting right by the turbine side of the turbo.

i have won a few races against more than one stock powercroak altho my engine is still n/a its not what you would call stock, and maybe i can just drive better than them who knows all i know is i beet 3 out of 5 psds i raced in a quarter mile distance, the 2 i lost against were 99-03 7.3 i didnt have a real chance against them, but the other 3 first gen psd seemed slow of course, i did really have to wind mine out to win but my motor loves high rpm.
The early powerstrokes had non gated tubos so they don't build much boost low down and your motor has much mor power way down low because of the high compresion. Also the trans plays a role too if the didn't know you were guna race from the get go and there E4OD shifted into second befor they stepped on it it will slow them way down I got smoked by a newer chevy 1500 single cap short bed 2x4 like that then at the next light spooled up to 2 psi and blew his doors off. Also if the guys in the early strokes had spooled there turbos a bit befor take off you probly would have had to bust out the wood screws.
Oh I mean you shouldn't be street racing. I always wanted to take mine out to the track and give it a 7psi 4x4 lauch and see what time i got but with my luck i might break somthing.

all the races were from a dead stop but they did not spool there turbos and i gave mine everything she had to beet them too
