I grew up chasing lighting bugs too, we still see them during the summer months.

Good Morning all!

Lisa Thanks!! When J-L and I move you and Randy are more than welcome to come visit. Especially when you want to get away from the cold of winter!! Kinda like a free vacation spot.
That is the pits about the pipe. Hopefully nothing was damaged by the water.

Are you serious? In 28 years you've never seen a lightning bug? Geez, I guess that is something that I have taken for granted. I thought everybody had lightning bugs in the summer. We used to catch them by the hundreds with Mason jars(with holes poked in the lids for air), and make lanterns

Man and I thought that us northerners were the only ones that did that.

Jim I know we are all happy for you. Maybe I can come visit and Melissa can teach me how to rope too. In return, I'll show her how to field dress a deer. LOL

Had to call the landlords last night. Got home from dinner and heard water rushing, only to find a broken pipe downstairs spraying water everywhere. He tried to fix it last night but couldn't find the right size coupler, has to come back tonight. We got real lucky with them, they are very good landlords.

Hey Lisa really its okay lets just leave it at that. Ill teach anyone to ride, teach em to rope, cut or chase a can to the best of my abilities in whichever field (barrel racing my best so so at roping pretty good at cutting) BUT I DONT WANNA DRESS A DEER Field or otherwise! ACK GAG I just dont want do it. Remember I am the one who just fell apart over mowing down a baby bunny.

I like free vacation spots...especially ones with horses to ride.

I'm absolutely serious. And that's 27 years, lets not start tackin on extra years, lol.

I grew up in Colorado. No lightning bugs there, they must not like the elevation, that is the only thing I can figure. Colorado has no Cardinals either. Understand, only ONCE in my life had I ever heard a tornado siren, before I moved here. Now they go off all the time.

But, I did grow up seeing and experiencing things I probably took for granted, that the rest of you would cherish. I have been above timberline more times than I can count, walked along the edge of a glacier (ate an egg salad sandwich while sitting on top of one) and seen some amazing things up in the rockies. I've seen sunsets from the top of a mountain, been within arms reach of a bugling bull elk, mountain fields filled with hundreds of hummingbirds, millions of hatching dragonflies at Lake John, and countles other miracles of nature.

Hahaha alrighty then, I understand. I'll probably be a quick learn for ya, I have some horseback riding under my belt so I won't be a total novice. Granted, that was many, many years ago. I imagine its just like riding a bike. Ya never forget

I guess it did look kinda odd, it was 11 at night, and here I am ripping along the double lane highway, with my four ways on, in a slow moving vehicle haha.

He ticketed you for bad taste did he.

Driving a Case, not a JD.

You know what Jim, Im sure youll love being a grandpa!

You may be right Marty haha.

Actually the cop was just checking to make sure it was my 580, and that I didnt steal it. I had no id on me, no business cards, nothing. Luckily Sandi pulled up behind me and had my wallet in her car.
