Well, everyone. It looks like we're going to be making an attempt at buying a Deere 544H loader through the local Deere dealership's RTO program.

It's not the best of deals, but we are pretty sure we can do an RTO program which makes it worth it.

They're asking 65,000 for the machine. JRB coupler w/only a bucket. 2,000 hours and a full cab.

I know I can get a Deere 544J with 2,900 hours with a JRB coupler with bucket and forks for 75,000 dollars. The only thing is they probably wouldn't do RTO.

For anyone who doesn't know what RTO is it means Rent to Own. Your rental payments go towards paying off the machine until you either pay off the remaining balance or just keep renting forever and ever until you own it. However the amount of money applied towards ownership decreases as the amount of time you have it increases.

This is THE loader. Not a similar one. This is the actual one.

The price there says 72,500 dollars, but the equipment trader magazine we get said 65,000 and so did the Clark rep we spoke with.

Thanks.

My brother was supposed to do an internship at that dealership, but then the economy tanked and they are currently facing layoffs.

They've currently got mechanics painting the shop walls in order to keep them busy to try to stave off layoffs just a little longer.

So we should be able to get a decent deal on that machine. We could likely get them to include a set of forks if we didn't try to knock them off their price of 65k

It's nice because that dealership is right across town from us.

hey Sheldon, if ya haven't figured it out yet, ya tap off of the brake lights for the controller trigger feed.

I got er figured Tom, thanks though

Last things i have to do, is find a better ground for a couple of trailer lights, finish putting those self tapping screws in the deck (that is a huge pain in the *** when its hot out today!), then figure out the proper length of chains to tie my machine on, then Im done with that, will be ready to work on saturday when the road bans come off! (if need be!)

Hey guys,

Sorry I was such a grumpyass yesterday. I hate days like that.

Work paid for some blood tests today. Mine came back...well perfect. I had really good levels on everything.

Total cholesterol 166
Triglycerides 94
HDL cholesterol 50
VLDL 19
LDL 97

I mean I am even Stephen on all the results. Happy to hear it.
