Umm, never thought about it actually. When it comes to guns I sort of have a bigger is better mentality...when we are anywhere that sells guns I usually go leave forehead marks on the glass wherever they keep the 500 S&W's.
I almost bough a pink cricket once, but I had my little niece in mind. She's only two though, I'll wait until she's older...
Trust me I bet you would have an indor target range in your basement if you had a pellet gun.
Sounds good in theory, but I can pretty much guarantee I'd get the cops called on me. lol. I do have neighbors on all sides.
And those deer are sneaky. I've never seen one on the property, but I see their tracks and droppings everywhere. Heck the rabbits, I could kill one with a slingshot. They just kinda sit there and stare at ya, they don't care.
I also need to add....were I to shoot (and kill) a whitetail while naked from my 2nd story bedroom window....I would totally be a rockstar...

The "plan" is to buy a place with acreage and make our own outdoor range.... I have NO idea if that would be legal or not......Hey John, is that legal?
In all seriousness Jake, indoor ranges are dangerous if they aren't properly ventilated. Gun powder is leaded, and breathin that stuff in isn't a good idea.
Just realized u were talkin about a pellet gun not a .22. Still, I'd shoot my eye out...or it would ricochet and hit Randy in the butt.

A piece of 2in thick foam insulation backed with paper will stop riccochets.
Had a conversation with the boyfriend's dad about this the last time I went out to see the family in Nebraska. He's a gunsmith, very interesting guy. His claim was that most silencers impact accuracy negatively...but he did say the quality of the suppressor makes a big difference. I bet you guys use some top quality stuff.
The urban myth is that silencers increase accuracy, and I found what he had to say pretty interesting.
Well in general a longer barrel increases accuracy.
but the way a silencer is designed could effect accuracy in a negative way. Obviously the higher quality of product the less negative effect it is going to have.
Well, we are using Rock River Arms .223s with silencers at night for deer eradication. Special permit from Game and Inland Fisheries to thin the herd due to town-wide complaints about crop damage, wrecks involving deer, and so on. Most of our shots have been in the 75 to 100 yard range and haven't had any misses so far. But as was noted, quality of equipment does play a role in the accruacy or lack thereof.
