Well If you live in the south..then we are southerners... but if yer front porch sittin', guitar pickin, 'baccer juice spittin' bluegill fishin country boy from the woods, and drive a big jacked up 4x4 with country music blarin' like me...then yeah..redneck fits.

He doesn't want to.

He's got a nutty ex-wife there.

And Scott.

What would the proper term be in that case? I hope you'll excuse my ignorance since I haven't ever really been much south of Tennessee.

Just to set everything straight:

I'm not trying to put down the south. Just poking a little fun at you guys.

I'm getting the heck out of here ASAP. I'm sick of this white crap known as "snow" that we get. If I say something good about living here it's just me trying to convince myself that this isn't a miserable place to live.

The limited amount of time I spent in the south was awesome. I spent somewhere around 2 weeks down in the Tennessee/Kentucky area a few summers back. Visited Jack Daniels in Lynchburg, visitied the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, etc.

Everything was a little slower paced. It was nice. Everyone here is so rushed about everything all the time. People here will rush to finish a job and then sit around complaining they are bored.

Well Pete, if you have been to Tennessee, thats good enough. The further South you go, its pretty much the same as here.

Pete, come on down here to VA. I'll take you out and prove that there really are family trees with no branches.

yeah i live in north florida where I can be in 'bama or jawga in 20 minutes and I love it. But dont move to mississippi though! (no offense to anyone from sippi) I am here now until june 14 and it sucks. the countryside is pretty but the people (at least around meridian) arent that friendly like bcak home. And there is a lot more racism. Back home I can have black friends ridnin my truck thats covered in rebel flag stuff and it dont bother 'em.

That's one thing that annoys me up here.

Everyone thinks that the second you fly Dixie flag you're automatically a racist. They just don't get it.

Well, from my house, I can be in NC in thirty minutes, WV in thirty minutes, TN in an hour, and KY in about an hour and a half. It really is great down here, all jokes aside.
