You can't COMPLETELY avoid drama, especially if family is the source, but the people you choose to spend time with and allow to be part of your life will shape your life. It'll limit your friends, but I'm OK with that personally. The few I do have a pretty friggin' awesome! Hope you'll count me as one!
Morning everyone. No plans today. What is everyone else up to?
So I find this box from QVC on my porch Friday when I get home from work. Its a Christmas wreath..and I'm thinkin hmmm...this is weird. Turns out its from my mother, who can't pay her bills and has been trying to manipulate her way into enough money to get the car they were driving out of the impound after they wrecked it. It went to the impound because it wasnt registered and they were driving it illegally. I should also mention it doesn't belong to her, its actually my little sister's car..... *sigh* Jerry Springer anyone? I hope to God I took after my dad...
Just can't talk sense into some people, and some things never change. Be better off pounding dirt.

Tis true. I've X'ed few people out of my life becuse of the way they treated me or my family...unnecessary drama, turmoil and manipulation. I don't tolerate it.
The above mentioned individual falls into that category.
All squirels aren't the size of the little grey fellers most people know, fox and red squirels get to be decent size
To me they taste a lot like squirel
Good morning everyone. Thank you all for the get well wishes. The worst of it is passed.
Virtigo SUCKS. It's like instant motion sickness, including the urge to hurl your dinner back up.
.
Lisa, I'm sorry to hear that your Mom is like that. Judging from your posts, I can confidently say that you are committed to being better than that. A contributor to society, not a taker.
.
Ron, good to here from you.
.
It wouldn't be hard at all to raise doves for food. They have a very strong homing instinct. You could leave the door open for them, they would go forage for thier own food for the day and return to the roost at night.
Keep a bin full of seed for them to eat in the roost so they have no reason to roost anywhere else. You'll lose a few to hawks and some "independant spirits", but most of them would stick around.
Net one or two down and process them like a small chicken.
Nothing tastes better than a free range bird.

Virtigo can be very dangerous too, if it gets bad enough it can throw off your equilibrium so badly you cannot function. My sister got some type of flu and had it happen to her it once. It took her half a day to crawl to the phone to call me to ask me to take her to the hospital. When I got there I found her laying on the ground. Had to pick her up and carry her out to the truck to take her to the hospital and from there it took a week for her to get back to normal.
Glad you're feeling better! Better now than at Christmas.
My mother, yes..imagine being 5-years-old and realizing you're the adult in the room. Its been an ongoing drama with her for as long as I can remember and continues to get worse. My siblings have it worse than I do...she hardly ever calls me asking for money because I always say no. They give in on occasion so, they get the majority of the drama.
very good answer Ray.
Grey's are small, but the reds can get medium cat size.
i have seen some decent size blacks also, but will not shoot a black or albino squirrel.
we told my sisters as kids we were having chicken for dinner. they usually would not know the difference until they bit into a pellet.
this worked for most wild game. squirrel, rabbit, phesant, and grouse. turkey, duck, goose and venison were safe with their names, and they knew it was either eat it or go hungry.

Best I could do on that one, have heard it taste like cat but won't go there
if the subject would have been venison I would have said goat or for duck, greasy turkey
gettin out of high school don't end the drama...... HS is just drama training. If you are lucky you'll see less of it but don't count on it.
I would agree about the drama in HS. But I dissagree about the drama out
side of HS, you can do what ever you want outside of HS whether it be college or a job you can make it be what ever you want, you are only limited by your drive & desire. You can tell the drama queens to f off if needed and move on.
Squirrel stew..................MMMMMM!
Doves taste great, but it takes a limit to make a meal. More for the wing shooting practice on worthwhile game like pheasants and ducks.
Some of the hardest shots I have ever taken were with a .22 at squirrels, much harder than shots at elk or deer.
