1) It's easier to tap the buttons while I'm driving, then to reach to the head unit and being a big azz bouncy truck, end up resetting the damn EQ instead of turning the volume up.
2)I never need to take my eyes off the road. Ever. I know where each button is and never look at the head unit. The Pioneer remote is perfect for me.
those 2 i can understand why they put them on the steering wheels for the factory units... but a floating remote i cant... them things wander all over the house when theyre tv remotes or home stereo ones.. would hate to think where theyd end up in a vehicle...

umm i dont play my car stereos when im washing the cars... thats what the one in my garage is for...

Now, that being said, it's all convenience and isnt needed at all. But now that I have it, I love it. I have my Ipod wired into the Pioneer and have a MP3 cd in it at all times, so there is always several thousand songs at my disposal. I think the head unit was on sale at Best buy for under $200, including the harness and dash adapter.
now this makes me wonder how often you get up to having a dead battery in your truck... cuz a buddy of mine went to the mall while one of his friends stayed back in the car.. (of course running the stereo the whole time).. we came out a 1/2 hr later to the car being so dead it wouldnt even try to crank over...

Good Morning Everyone! Please, once again, keep your fingers crossed for me. Yesterday morning I filled out an application for a job at a company called Pavestone, and they called me yesterday afternoon for an interview today at 9 am. I will keep you all posted as to how it goes.

good morning all!!

good luck Jim!

how's everyone today? I'm feeling... LAZY. HA! I woke up at 4AM, took the dogs for their walk, and it was POURING rain. Joy. So, after 30 minutes of that crap, we returned home, pups got their treats, and I crawled back in bed. Just work up about 2 minutes ago. Now it's time to brush up on techie stuff - I have a phone screening today at 5PM. If y'all can spare a little extra mojo and send it my way it'd be much appreciated.. but keep pulling for Jim!!
