I'm glad to hear Jamie is doing better John!

I'm not going to try to the post, y'all have at it!
Right now it's just waiting to see what happens next, he isn't allowed out of bed without supervision now, because he blood pressure is so low, he gets dizzy and falls.

The eating is stil minimal without a feeding tube, but he is getting IV fluids, but the problem is he keeps pulling them out.

We're keeping him in our prayers Steve. Hopefully things will lookup soon. It's tough to try to get them to leave the IVs alone. Same thing happened with my dad years ago.

I know deep down his body needs to rest, but it won't let him...he is in a advanced stage of dementia on top of he being Bi-Polar....so being as sick as he is, his mind won't let him rest.

Some days he recognizes us, and it's a good visit, and other days he blows raspberries at us, his way of telling us to go away.

Dementia and Ahlzeimers (sp) are so cruel. Just let me go in my sleep still relatively healthy...

Well I said when this whole thing started to my wife, not to be cruel or anything but, he was the most onery, meanest SOB to walk this planet, a little scrappy dude from the streets of Jersey City that didn't take $h1t from anyone...we were surprised he wasn't killed sooner by someone he went up against before.

He was a sniper during the Korean war with all kinds of decorations and ribbons, but he never spoke about his experience in the war, except to me, and I know some heavy stuff from buddies that opened up from Nam..but he had some stories that well, not for FTE posting..

But his Bi-Polor made him paranoid and worried about everyone plotting against him, everything was a conspiracy...

Trust me I could write a book about just my experience with him over the last 20 years....

My wifes great aunt had dementia. She would never speak about her experiences in WWII until toward the end. Nothing like your FIL went through I am sure but she was there at D-Day and just the things she would kind of say you could tell it was nothing short of traumatizing.
