I am a firm believer that there is no place for the media in a war. We don't need to see how the war is won. Just get it done instead of pu$$yfooting around because there may me a reporter somewhere with a camera.
Amen to that.
If there has to be a camera, at least don't allow them to say anything at all.
Just film and SHUT UP.
Hey Mark! I took the boys to see it yesterday! We thought it was better than the first one. Sorry to hear about your mom buddy. That's never an easy decision and if there's anything I can do to help you out, let me know.
That sucks. My grandma (who died a few years ago) had Alzheimer's since I was really young. It was really sad to see her not even recognize her own son. (dad)
Thinking about that makes my day seem at least a little less terrible.
I slept through my alarm this morning and got to work late. Everything was fine for the morning. Got the angle cylinders installed on our new (to us) plow. It's a 9' Fisher Minute Mount 2. Got the hydraulic lines hooked too. Then my brother started painting some tire racks we bought at the last auction. (We got a LOT of stuff) That was pretty cool cause he taught me a little about painting. But he didn't realize we'd run out of paint thinner so I had to drive to a hardware store and get back with paint thinner ASAP so we didn't ruin the paint gun. So I got back and started cleaning the paint gun and got covered in red paint halfway to my elbows. I'm still a little red from it, but got most off. So as I was finishing up dad got back with the Mack and RGN with the excavator and Ford 2120 4x4 utility tractor on it. Being able to have those for use any time is great. But my brother was supposed to be reconnecting the RGN and unhooking the truck from it. So he was putting it together and I was about to put the Ford tractor inside, roll the door down, and leave. But as he pulled away from the trailer the neck disconnected from the trailer deck and the truck's 5th wheel. So we had to chain the neck with the skidsteer to keep it straight and he backed back in. Then we hooked the hydraulic lines backwards. Got em straightened out and tried to hook the trailer up again. I go to adjust the hydraulics and only one side is working. Then I realize I didn't take out the compression block. Get that adjusted. Then the neck got misaligned and we knocked the deck off the blocks. Then we couldn't get it lined up. End up just backing it in and pushing the trailer deck back until it lined up. Then we got the neck hooked back on and done up right with no more incidents.
So I got the mower loaded into the 6.0, went home for dinner, and went to mow my grandparents lawn. Got it mowed ok and went to load the mower up again. Managed to screw up loading the mower. Got it to the top of the ramps and the tire spun. Knocked the ramp out and the mower slid back a bit. The ramp got wedged into the mower deck so the mower was suspended by the ramp wedged in the deck with the other side still on the ramp. I lifted the mower, but my grandpa couldn't get the ramp unwedged. So I had to call dad to come help get it in the truck. We got it in ok after that.
I just did NOT have a good day, but like I said seeing the poor, unfortuante people who get Alzheimer's makes me realize that even if I have a terrible day. It's still pretty darn good.
