Looks like the beast is waiting until Friday or Saturday to get plates.
Insurance has to be active on the vehicle and apparently my insurance won't be active until tomorrow. (12:01am Thursday July 23)
It's costing me 700$ a year for liability only with it insured as an occasional use vehicle. Would've cost me 1700 had I added in collision to my policy and I figured 1700$ a year wasn't entirely worth it on a 7300$ truck.
Lojack costs 700$ so that'll be my theft insurance so to speak. That and a watchful eye... with a big pipe wrench to back it up.

I have been very fortunate in insuring my truck. Its 10 years old and I still have full coverage. Of course it doesnt hurt to live next to your insurance agent. Our family was his first customer when he started. He now owns the company...and we benefit greatly.

I do believe you are correct about Cris being on her cruise Mark. Between John not being here much, Cris on vacation, and Lisa taking a break from her computer this place is a ghost town. And being summer and all does not help. People actually have lives I guess.

So yesterday I get up and start working at 7, get a little break around dinner time, and about ten minutes to eat supper, and I got home at 1:30 in the morning!

Yes unfortunatly. She showed back up here in MA got arrested twice then stuck in the hospital. From there back to FL and is now in jail. Because of all of this everything is still in limbo. J-L and I are camped out in mom's living room for the time being until at least the 26th of Aug. If a date comes up sooner we will grab it but until then........

I can't really complain about insurance. So long as I keep my grades up enough to make honors then I'm not the one who has to pay it.
Sorry for all the tech I've been posting lately, but you guys are more fun than the guys in the 7.3 tech forums.
But I did my foil delete today. What a royal PITA that was.
Got a nice stiff wire brush, some paint stripper, and some chemical resistant gloves and went to work. Peeled the foil off (major PITA) then wire brushed it pretty good to get most of the fuzz off. Slathered it in paint stripper and let it sit then used the plastic scraper thingy on the wire brush I got at Lowes to scrape at it all then wire brushed it to finish off. Then came the fun part of removing all that danged paint stripper. Lots of paper towels and simple green did the trick. And now I don't have any gross foil on my IC pipe!

It seems like it would open a door inside that you would not be able to close.

I've seen LEO's out on a break for lunch with two pistols, one is a taser and the other has bullets.
