Just a 2nd letter about the same recall. Didn't get anything done on the first notice.

No way they will see my truck either, especially with the way the economy is. Theyre looking for something to make money off since theyre not selling a lot of cars!

I replace mine in 05 with a black one from IH for $ 98.00 and been fine since. I'm leaving it alone.
I paid $104 with tax for mine at IH. Stealer wanted almost 2 labor hours to replace it. The labor and the sensor from stealer was a lil over 400. No way...

So he says to me, you came down here and you're not going to have us do it, well what was the point of coming in here. I replied, i'm not going to fix something that's not broke and i've heard to many stories about the grey one causing to many problems. He replies, well i'm glad to see you work for ford and know everything about their trucks, have a nice day. And then he walked in the back.

He couldnt just leave it alone after the "thanks for your help" response. Youre right...complete d*ck. Whats the point of coming down here? Seriously...I think I asked you if I could have the CPS...and now my business is done! The last comment he made wouldve made me go back and ask for him as well!

Just a 2nd notice for the ones that have replaced it already or not done it as of yet.

How many of yall have had the dealer give you a refund for what you paid for the CPS back in the day before this recall?! I was wondering if it was worth a try even with the tough economy right now...dont know if theyre willing to give up their cash as easily now...

Back when Ford had that major recall of the Firestone tires (2000), I had already replaced the factory tires with BFG/ ATs, I took the invoice into Ford and they reimbursed me the price of the Firestone tires and the mounting, balancing, and EPA fees. I say give it a try.

So if my original CPS lasted 165,000 miles, what are the odds that it will fail now? If I can't get a replacement handed to me (as a spare) then I have no other business with the dealer. They've already shafted me more than once!
