Nope. The payload has nothing do do with the tires it's the GVWR
The problem is them weights are for a stripped out version of your truck. Ford should make this more clear. If you add electric windows, electric seats, AC, better stereo, leather, electric everything, moonroof and so on every time you add something your payload drops. Thats why my truck only has 900lb payload.
I have the platinum 6.5 5.4 4x4 fully loaded and it's no where near the figures they give for my spec truck online. Mine is ment to be 1500lb but i lose 600lb payload somewhere over the base platinum. Base platinum is pretty loaded as standard so i dont know where they added 600lb
thanks for your help it is really hard to understand where they come up with these figures
No problem. Your right about the figures. WHat they should do is ajust the weight as you add options on the truck so you can see your payload rateing. Your dealer does have a system where he can do the same sort of thing but more than likley knows nothing about it. Best bet is weight your truck but i can bet that your door sticker is spot on.
when i was at my dealer he said he didnt understand why in book is says 1560 and on the door it says 1280 go figure
Yep we had this same problem. I even had to get the rep to contact the development team to figure it out as even on their systems it was showing the my truck in my spec as being able to carry 1500lbs no matter how it was configured but he got back to me and said the system only shows base model payloads. But even so i dont think you could even get a base platinum to carry 1500lb in basic trim.
