I put a Cobra 18 WX ST II in my '04 in front of the trashbag hook. I installed a 3-foot Firestik II on my driver's side cowl. Not sure what the '08s are like as far as installing at either of those spots though. Anyway, here ya go!
I dont have a pic of it... guess I should get one tomorrow. However, my CB is mounted next to my right knee, just under the cubbyhole. I never used the hole anyway, so I domt mind the unit being there.
My mic is mounted on the left side of the overhead computer housing. I doubt most people would want theirs up there due to the cord running up through the field of vision, but I like having it there.
ok, got a couple pictures. had the 3' sticks on the mirrors of my '95, but that wasn't possible with this one so i went the route of my tool box. both of the antennas are hooked up, 20' cable down thru the grommet at the back of the cab, routed under the plastic piece at the base of the rear doors, under the driver and passenger seats, to the base of the radio on the right side of the tranny. it wasn't too difficult to install, they just aren't quite even (they were when i put 'em on, honest!). and the external speaker is just run behind the gear shift to the base of the radio. only problem is now i've got to try and find somewhere to mount the new prodigy!
Here is My Old setup. I loved were it was and it looked good but needed more room for switches. I am in the middle of a bunch of mods with a write up and don't want to show a pick of the setup just yet but here is the old one as promised.
