I think I'm gonna go with this one. I don't think the radio will fit in it but I can drill into it to mount it. I can ALWAYS use the extra storage space also.
THANKS!!!

Your welcome you should be pleased. It doesnt block as much of the windshield as people think. Actually verry little if at all. has a nice lip on it so that when you take off from stop all your stuff wont come crashing down. Very nice setup overall.
The radio is installed with an old heavy duty adjustable (brick) cell phone mount I've had for years. It works very well for this application. It holds firmly in place and the adjustability of the mount has come in handy a couple of times for me.
Here's a few tighter photos of the mount.
Not a very good photo of the antenna below, but it's installed in the roof a bit off center towards the passenger side for when the HAM antenna gets installed so they will be lined up reasonably well. I have it prewired for the second antenna. The CB antenna is removable from the semi permanent base and has a weather proof cap for when the antenna is removed. I have some better photos of the installed antenna somewhere and will post a couple when I find them.
It would be interesting to see that "heavy duty adjustable (brick) cell phone mount" installed on the ceiling but it may be too close to the rear view mirror. Also, what type of cap do you have on your truck? Can you take a few pics of at as well? Thanks!
I've got a suggestion on all the fiberglass antennaes. It's a good idea to put a spring between the mount and the antennae. They don't have a lot of flex and can snap pretty easily if you happen to drive under a low hanging tree or something. I know by experience. lol. You should be able to buy them where you buy the rest of the hardware.
Rick,
It's pretty sad when Radioshack has to resort to displaying the "frequency" of CB channels in order to sell their product but i guess any selling gimmick works. How about going to a ham multimode (W/11 meter convert) if your license warranties it.
