Silverado???
I'm trying to refrain from starting another my truck is better than your truck, Ford vs. Chevy war, but I can't resist saying this. I recently read a post on here saying (for some odd reason) that a Silverado would beat a Lightning or something along those lines. Well, just so you all know.....coming home then other night I had the priveledge of pulling up in my '94 Lightning, beside a hot head in a silverado and he had the priveledge of seeing what my tail-lights look like from a distance. The Heartbeat Stops Here!!

i recently raced a 2000 lightning with my 93 lightning and he couldnt pull from me we stayed head and head. after the run he pulled me over to see what i had done. I only have a shift kit underdrive pulleys and a k&n cone he was surprised. i definatly want more mods if anyone has any suggestions email me i want to SPANK a new lightning.............shimp_33(No Email Addresses In Posts!)

I ran a new lightning in my 93 with under drives and a kn and he walk the dog on me alot of it had to do with the fact i couldnt get off the line on him I need new tires I thought about the shift kit does it really help I love to drag and wanna get out quicker

He must have one sick L, If you want to spank a 2nd Gen L come on up to E-town on the 23dr of March. Plenty of Ls coming for a little tuning and racing!

That shows you that in seven years the ford cant make anything better
Besides you raced against a regular silverado race it against a supersport and see what happens. In a couple of years the lightning will problaly get recalled like every other ford does. They cant even get simple details right

before chevy starts to think of making a high performance truck engine, they better fix the problems on the regular engines! have you guys been to chevytalk.com? every other post, if not more has something to do with problems. the most common one is a lifter problem.

geezz... I just kicked the ##### out of a 454 SS tonight in a 02 GT and then.. I got a little big for my britches and went after a new lightning... BIG misttake... kicked my *** by about 3 car lengths....they are bad *** trucks... I would love to have one..

I've EATEN MANY bowties in a 92 150 with a sleeper 460 cid.Not regular chevys......talking bout the ones......you know,with all the cools stickers,loud pipes....etc,course my little "sleeper" ran 9's easy in 1/4 and was a daily driver.Have a 1st gen."L" now(for about 2 months )and when wheather gets better....... I'll let some more bowties see my tailights.......LMAO

i LOVE when they say "yea i have 285hp" and then they put it on a dyno and only make 175RWHP 
when is chevy going to stop lying to their customers?
its funny how a 4.7L dodge engine ratted at 230hp at the crank makes 199-205 RWHP, and a chevy 5.3 ratted at 285HP at the crank makes 175 RWHP. whats going on here?

Since we're on the ss trip, why don't you think back to the good ole days when you ch*vy boys thought you were bad with the 454 ss trucks. Then Ford makes a truck that would smoke it with 103 less cubic inches and small block heads (very restrictive and no canted valves) Try putting some Cleveland heads on one to at least make the heads somewhat even, and then run them again. The lightning would smoke your poor 454 with its LITTLE 351.

Now Dodge's are pretty cool but I would never buy a Chevy. Never in my life. Dodge is makin' the 500hp Ram SRT-10 and Chevy is still out of the running. I don't think they'll ever catch up.
