Short bed crew cab is the best selling version of the super duty by a large margin. The four door is also the best selling in Dodges and Chevys as well.
The extra room is nice. It's all about what you want. Drive both and see what you like.
I have had an 02 sc sb 4x4 F350 and now have a 06 cc sb 4x4 F250 Now change in Gvw both GVW 10,000 The old truck ran on 16 inch tires the new one runs on 20 inch tires. The old truck was 5.4L gas and the new one is a 6.0L diesel
The super cab was nice if you didn't carry anyone in the back seat, didn't mind opening the whole side of the truck so someone can get in or out of the back seat, the people in the back seat don't mind not having any leg room and like the feeling of being sardines in a can.
Now the crew cab has room for those in the back even when I am driving. they have there own door, it is about the same size as a regular cab with an 8 foot box and rides much better then my F350 with super cab.
The new truck is sprung much better then the F350 and I can load it with more stuff because of the springs and air ride suspension.
Now would I ever get a super cab? Yes if I never planned on using the extra room to carry people but just stuff and it was my hunting, work and bang around truck maybe with a dump body and dual rear wheels and really high GVW that comes with a F450
