i wanted a SC but the crew was what they had on the lot, so i bought it. haven't regretted it one bit. it's better for people hauling. i just wish i had a LB b/c i've got the 2 tool boxes and want to get another fuel tank but don't have enough room for all that and the gooseneck hitch. now if/when we (me and the woman) get another large hauler for business purposes, i'll definitely consider a SC, especially with a LB. most daily applications a SC would work fine, but man, i wind up doing a lot of the driving with people here at school b/c i've got more room than anybody's car. and i like to drive (untrusting of others' driving skills), and my size.
i have the 97 super cab and just got a 99 crew cab month ago. i love the crew cab most part its usually just me in there but just so much more room. get into my other one i feel kind of cramped lol. ive always wanted to get a crew cab im glad that i finally got one.
after owning a reg cab, and extended cab and now a crewcab... theres no going back..
if u have friends who fit into the back seat of a supercab "comfortably" then they must be small people...
i find having 5 or 6 fullsize adults in my crewcab is about as small as i can stand it.. i'd like the crewcab to be even longer actually.. kinda like the Dodge maxicab.. but somehow done so its not so fricken UGLY....
i also agree the mini extended cab doors are annoying...cant count the number of times people closed the doors in the wrong order and smacked the trim panels together..grrrr...
I have an 06 F350 supercab long bed and an 08 crewcab long bed,I definately like the crewcab better, some places you do have to back in to park the long puppy.
I have a SC but just traded it in for a brand new CC. Never had any problem with the SC as it is just my wife & I, until we had to take my 90 year old mother & father with us on a 3 hour trip. I just wanted the CC for those times we take others with us.
I just replaced a 99 Dodge QuadCab after 256K with an '08 XLT CC. Although the CC is like turning the Queen Mary (well, maybe not that bad), I can't picture ever going back to an extended cab.
Have owned an 89 F350 regular cab, a 99 F350 SC,8 foot box and now an 08 F350 CC, 8 foot box and am very pleased with it, I can always park out at the end of parking lots with all the others and walk a bit to the store. :-)
Crew Cab all the way! Mines with the 8' bed and I wouldn't trade it for anything smaller. It's our 'family" outing vehicle regardless of the destination. The only thing you need to do is plan your turns in advance. Not to many people say "I wish I would have gone smaller".
I agree with this guy. Coming off of several standard cabs with long beds, I like the Supercab and 6 3/4 ft bed. Its just me and my stuff with tool boxes in the bed and other stuff behind the front seat. Occassionaly my son and two grandsons take a trip (in car seats) and it works just fine. Other than that I use my Crown Vic. Less total weight, better performance and towing power were my goal. Heck, I don't even have a 4x4 and am happy about that. Of course, this discussion should also involve V-10 and or diesel. Oh, and I still wanted to get it in my garage, both length and height.
Me too. I really wanted the long bed as I seem to be the oddity that does a lot more in-bed hauling with mine than I do towing. Seems most people do a lot more towing than hauling. And when getting the long bed, the CC makes it impossible to fit in a lot more places. I could fit my truck in my garage (barely - but I'd have to remove a workbench and shelves to do it), but there is noway a CC LB could fit. That same problem is with fitting the truck anywhere, and the SC LB is bad enough in that regard.
Depends on your needs. I use mine mostly for weekend work and when the weather is nasty for the 4wd, and we only have one kid (9) so the SC fits us fine when we need to.
Super cab, Crew cab, short or long bed there all big trucks and not overly fun to park if your used to a car or small SUV. If you have the CC and short bed or the SC and long bed there isn't any arguing on length, parking or turning. If the SD is your daily driver or only vehicle and you "routinely carry" more than one passenger go with the CC. I have the SC and now and then carry my 5'10 son and his two friends without any complaints. So roll the dice or flip a coin or......
