One more vote for the crew cab. If you plan on hauling people (adults or kids in carseats) in the back on a regular basis, they'll appreciate the crew. I testdrove both when I was looking and with my little girl's carseat the supercab was definitely a no-go.
Well, I have to break the run here. I decided on, and LOVE my super cab.
Now, let's clarify a couple of things. I have a long bed, keep a clean truck and don't haul passengers on a regular basis, and no more than an hour or so when I do. I love the fact that I don't have a pillar to deal with when I do want to put something in the cab area. In fact, that's where I put my Millermatic welding unit (I lift the seat) when I have it with me.
I think the passenger thing is really the issue here. It's all in how you're going to use the truck.
I have had both. I like the look of the super cab, but I live on a dirt road and the doors rattled terribly and it drove me crazy. Both trucks have a crappy turning radius. When I finally decided to go with a crew cab, I was not sure about it at first, but that only lasted about an hour. I have no plans to go back to the super cab. The crew is just way more roomy comfortable and convienient.

I agree with this guy. Coming off of several standard cabs with long beds, I like the Supercab and 6 3/4 ft bed. Its just me and my stuff with tool boxes in the bed and other stuff behind the front seat. Occassionaly my son and two grandsons take a trip (in car seats) and it works just fine. Other than that I use my Crown Vic. Less total weight, better performance and towing power were my goal. Heck, I don't even have a 4x4 and am happy about that. Of course, this discussion should also involve V-10 and or diesel. Oh, and I still wanted to get it in my garage, both length and height.

just my opinion, but id never own a super cab for anything other than daily driving. if you do any driving on bumpy roads/off road conditions, anything that causes body flexing, etc youll hate the super cab. ive never seen one thats been driven off road any amount of time that the doors would shut all the way without having 2 inches of slack in them.
I got the Crewcab and love it. Its WAY more comfortable than the SuperCab. But the guys who asked " What are you going to use it for?" have the right approach. The real difference is in the wheelbase, which affects the turning radius. And its not just about U-turns. You haven't lived until you try to plow snow in a restricted area the a crew, either long or short bed. Its a real adventure, especially with the plow adding ANOTHER 2 feet of overall length! I dread the day when my Yukon gives up the ghost and my F-350 (that I love) has to take on the plow duties. There are some places that I just will not be able to do.
With 2 car seats, 2 dogs and all our crap, I am getting a Camper shell for my crew cab. Obviously my vote is for the crew cab, I love mine. I also drive 10hrs back home when I take leave, it's an easy choice in my mind.
A SC is more than enough for me and a passanger. I usually don't haul people so a Crew isn't for me. My father has a Crew and they are super nice but he regularly will take 4 even 6 people in it so it fits what he does well. All depends what you do.
Another vote for a crewcab. I have two & would'nt have anything else. I never carry passengers in the back but my German Shepherd Dog finds the supercab just too confining.
I have the super and wish I had the crew. I want 8' of plywood to fit, so I'll always use the longbed. The diff between the regular and crew may be significant, but the diff between the extended and crew is minor. And it's great to have 4 people, or all the dogs in the cab.
I have a crew cab, but if it were just me, or me and the wife I'd have opted for the super cab. We have two kids and the crew cab has more than enough room. We've had five or six in the truck at a time and it's still got plenty of room (at least for me in the driver seat!).
My next truck though, in 15 - 20 years (when the kids go to college), will likely be an F350 Super Cab 4x4 with 6.8L V10 (even if I have to buy a used engine to put in my new truck).
