So I have to say this is my first Ford. I recently purchased what I believe to be a 1973 Ford Wrecker with a Holmes 440 wrecker unit on it. It has a 390 V-8 and a 3 speed manual trans. It has the front end sheet metal of a 1979. and the doors seem to be from a 1977. That is the extent of what I know about it at this time. I have purchased this truck for a class project at Danbury High School where I teach Auto Shop. I am sure as time goes on I will be posting many questions on here. Thanks for the forum.
Hi, everybody, My name is Brian and i'm from Windsor Locks, Connecticut. I bought a 05 F350 6.0 in 2009 and love it. I am a chevy person but I love ford diesels. I have been driving Ford wreckers since the 80's (started with the 6.9) and have always felt comfortable in a Ford truck. I hope to be getting involved in some of the discussions and look forward to meeting some of you.
Welcome aboard Brian! Glad to hear a chevy guy with a "love" for Ford trucks. You can join us over in the B/S thread, where we do a good amount of...well...B/S. Look forward to having you down for a GTG sometime
