CT Member Introductions

This is basically the same type of thing as the Mass. Chapter put up when they first started. It's basically an introduce yourself type of thread.

My name's Pete as you can see from my sig. I'm 16 and won't have my license until March because of our state's lovely new laws. I bought the truck in my avatar/signature on the last Monday of December from a used car lot in Rhode Island. My dad owns a small construction company that I'm very involved in. I can run just about any piece of equipment you can put me on aside from cranes. I've never run a crane. My first solo driving experience was in an old body style 7.3 diesel f350 dually when I was 8.

Hi, my name is Ray and Im an alc.... Ha, saw someone do tha in the Ma thread, and couldnt help myself. Im still laughing. Anyways Im a former US Marine, not for a while now, got out sometime in the 80s.

My only income in the winter, is snow , so I try not to complain to much, own my own small buisness, sports light construction. Recently installed the new football stadium lights at UMASS in Amherst (last summer).

Have a whole yard full of Ford trucks. The most recent addition being a 2008 F-350 w/6.4 diesel. Thats actually how I found this site, trying to research the new motor before I bought it.

Nice to meet you all.

Hi there, I'm Dave.

I live and work down in Southwestern Connecticut.

My van is big and patriotic (see my gallery) so most assuredly you will know its me when you are out and about and see that van.

I regularly work the evening shift from 2pm to 11pm Monday - Friday, and we here routinely trade shifts so we can have a real life too.

I tend to come online early in the evening, unless real work materializes.

I don't forum when not at work, nor when I'm pulling a day-shift.

As for the get-together, I prefer Saturdays or mid Sunday afternoons.

Hello Brian:

I was stationed at the sub base and later at Electric Boat for new construction.

I lived in Norwich then Preston and then back in Norwich from 1977 to 2002 while in the Navy and then while with Northeast Utilities at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station.

When I was an operator at the nuke station I was a Fire Brigade Leader.

Either of you trained at the Millstone's fire simulator building?

Hi everyone!

Thanks Pete for the invite!

I (for the moment) am in Stamford.
Things might be a little sporadic for me as I'm out of work and loosing my place this weekend.
But I look forward to our own little corner of the FTE universe.

I drive the beast in my sig and she just got a heart transplant this past spring.
There's almost no bit of this truck I haven't had my hands in or on.

Good to see ya here, Jim! Hopefully you can find a new place soon. With the market as depressed as it is you should be able to find a decent place pretty reasonably.
