CT Member Introductions
I moved from Yorktown Heights NY to Danbury...know all about the inspections. Not looking forward to it.
Thanks Jim! Are you down in Greenwich? Stamford?
The Chance...how funny. Still going strong. Ever hear of "Lets Dance"? We'd drive up to hear this one band Hey Baby back in the early 90s.

Just sent the "join request", so I'm not yet officially a member...
But I live in Bridgeport and have a 2001 F350.
Background:
US Navy in the mid 80s, construction and welding trades for most of my life.
Right hand got messed up- no heavy lifting now, so retraining for the high-tech industry.
I've driven a lot of trucks over the years, and most of the pickups have been Fords.
My own preference for Ford trucks is based on all the seat time I have had in other brands as well.
This is my 3rd Ford truck but the last one was about 15 years ago.
I bought it primarily for plowing my own driveway, and it is not a beauty queen, nor will it ever be!
But it is mostly solid and arrangements are made for the issues that remain:
1) Doing some cab corner repairs myself.
2) Someone is lined up to do ball joints and tie rods
3) Transmission has a weird problem that is being looked at right now:
reverse goes away erratically when the tranny warms up. *No problem with any other gears, and all gears feel solid and strong - including reverse when it works.
I'm hoping a new tranny or full rebuild is not needed.
