My name is Tanner. I'm a senior at Rockville High. I work in the IT field. I'm a computer guy. Have been working in my towns IT department since i was a sophomore. I'm planning on getting a computer related degree at the local community college then transferring to a four year school. Anyway on to my truck. I got this 1983 f250 HD that my dad custom ordered brand new in 82'. I'm in the process or hope to be soon to fix it. It needs a new engine. This will be its third. The first one was not maintained very well and threw a rod. This one is a high mileage used 300, it lasted quite awhile. It has been parked since 93'. We have moved a few times since then and my dad wouldn't get rid of it and towed it the two times since then. In 2001 we put it in the shed / garage at where it still is today. It needs some rust repair it has a hole in the drivers side floor pan where your foot goes. Also needs some internal cab corner repair even tho the corners are mostly good. The passenger side is fine. I'm fixing this up as a side project and will buy another ford truck 8th or 9th gen for everyday driving to school and such.
These are good updated pictures of it that i took today. The tools are on the seat as i was cleaning crap out from behind the seat. The shed is wet and dark so some mildew and mold has accumulating on the interior. Specifically the steering wheel.
If anyone wants to know more about the truck or me don't be afraid to ask.
Thanks everyone. I have no idea where Stratford is. I fail. Wikipedia time. When i can drive i'll be sure to show up to a gtg. I hope this project isn't going to be too hard. Really a learning experience to me. I know nothing but, I've read and read and read some more trying to know i can know.
Ah stratford is all the way on the other side of the state. Near orange where my girlfriends dad lives.
Oh, you can certainly speed with an I-6. The good news is that the cop looks at the speed, then the truck, and decides he needs to check the calibration on his radar, ha!
