Haha, well. I'm afraid if I get a 7.3 I might go a little mod happy too. I tend to get carried away with stuff, and I have alot of experience around turbo cars, but diesels not soo much.
yah, i just really don't need another money pit project, i think a V10 would be easier to leave stock, but i guess were's the fun in that too right?
It's not a money pit. It's a money oasis.
Just kidding. We can have you all set up with gauges, an intake, exhaust, and tuner for what, guys? 2 grand?
I know I got quoted a little over 1k for a set of Performax gauges and the most rust-resistant 4" turbo-back exhaust I could get since I'm in the salty northeast.
I guess the problem would be trying to compete with some friends' trucks who have some mighty powerful cummins' and one wicked duramax. I just want my truck to be a good daily/tow rig and it might be hard to keep it like that. IDK. either engine would probabbly work out great.
Jim your the man, but if its that bad, I would hope even if ya could post it, ya wouldnt!
I'll email it to you......after supper....

Well, I going to run to the corec and work out, then play basketball for a while, I might get on later, if I get done with my paper, at a decent hour. good talking to you guys again!
That's good Lisa. I'm glad that it worked out for you.
Ok funny story time,
I have an ad on Craigslist trying to sell a brand new washer and dryer. Well I have been getting the usual bs emails and so on. I get an email from some woman asking for pics of them so I sent them to her. She replies back the next day asking more questions. So I ansewr those. She then asks me how firm the price is. I send an email back to her and say that I'll take a resonable offer. I just checked my email and she sends back a nude pic of herslf asking if we can negotiate the price......This woman is let's say a tad bit on the nasty side......Needless to say the washer and dryer are still for sale. Some people have no scruples at all!

I have about $1k in what I have with about $300 maybe yet to come
I don't have high dollar guages but they do the exact same thing
It ain't a race truck but will still live a long life
Those figures are off a might.Actually the two V-10s I towed with got a little better milage loaded than I do and with stock tuning on both think the V-10 is close to the same power
The PSD is easier on fuel empty
Well that's interesting. My brother's 2002 got 10-12 mpg EMPTY. 310/425 at the flywheel (I looked it up) is nowhere near 320/700 I'm getting AT THE WHEELS. I know I have a few mods , but you'll better the HP at the wheels with a few simple mods, and blow the V10's tq out of the water. The stock 2001-2003 7.3 is 250/505, so you already have the V10 by almost 100 ft-lbs stock. You should be able to get to 310/660+ (at the wheels) easily with a few mods. Going beyond that gets expensive, which is where I'm at. It will take all the basic mods, then a turbo and injectors to get to 400/750+. Beyond that, you're tearing down the block and replacing/adding lots of parts to keep it together.
