I'm half way being forced into the V10. just too good of a deal to pass up. Does the 7.3 out tow the v10 quite significantly?

Unless you're looking for a quiet truck then go with the 7.3 it's just way cooler.

That being said most people that own these trucks never really push the limits of their towing/hauling abilities.

yah, well the truck I would get would need some decent hauling capabilities. I have a '64 Galaxie 500 NMRA drag car, and would love to get rolling on my '97 exploder's transformation into a SAS'd trail rig.

If you guys ever get into talking about leveling, Id like to hear about it too! I can get a job done, but I enjoy the discussion about it, and Im always up for learning more.

Regarding the v10, theres nothing wrong with them, they are strong engines, but most of us in here are biased to the 7.3. The 7.3 is a reliable workhorse.

Plus theres nothing like rolling coal

That is what the 7.3 was built for.

yeah Brendan!!!!!!!!!!! Great post. I have no idea why people dont go for it more! I find that with some of my friends also, they go all weak in the knees and wont try anything fun!! First time I went boarding, I was trying 360's and tail grabs and anything I could think of....It's not really an extreme attitude I dont think, just that I want to have fun and cant do it playing on the bunny slope...(No offense bunny, I'm sure there great..LOL)

When I dumped the quad this summer everyone was like " guess you wont be doing that again" or ,"hope you learned your lesson" ???WTF??? what lesson? what do you mean wont be doing that again?....I'm going first chance I get, going up the EXACT same trail and trying again....Whats with this give up attitude? BIG FRIGGIN CRYING BABIES....

Great! I'll keep in touch on this, I'd like it to dry out some and then get it good enough to play bocce ball on or something like that. We'll include Sheldy too....lol

Well, i guess I'll go look at a few 7.3s, but it is going to be hard to pass up the deal I have been presented with. I think it's an ~01 4x4 ext cab for about 5k.

And on the having fun, When ever I go riding, I always see older guys doing crazy stuff. I was on my street legal WR450 and this dude on some gas gas blew past me, so I tailed him for almost 20 minutes, and lost all my buddies. He ended up stopping and taking his helmet off. I was shoched when I saw his face, the guy was 63 y/o and man he could ride!!
