Just wait, one of these days Julie will pop on here and tell you all that I took a header off some cliff and you all will be like, "that sounds about right"

What can I say...theres a reason my parents moved from Petersburg when I turned 4! Until they start building parts stores, food joints, walmarts, and post offices closer to the county Ive gotta venture into the biggest hell hole in VA as far as Im concerned. They havent met the educational standards VA has implemented in past 8 years, #1 in the state for STDs and teen pregnancy...
Heck even the murders are up there with Richmond and Richmond was in top 5 in the nation like 4 years ago....gettin rough here and it seems everyone just looks the other way...

Guess I'd be packin' firepower then, as sad as that is. Sometimes you have to protect yourself when things are getting like that. I know you already do though...bummer man...

Oh I do...I wouldnt if I didnt venture to hell everyday...they have surprised me lately in the general assembly here...
They now allow you to conceal carry in state parks and they are even considering letting concealed carry in places that serve alcohol on premises as long as you inform a member of the staff that you have one, which makes no sense to me. Either way its a step Id never thought Id even hear about. Of course you cant drink when you are in there so I dont plan on bringing mine! Smoking ban on the other hand is going to kill business here, especially with Phillip Morris(Altria) HQed here in Richmond...
VA doesnt differentiate between a restaurant and bars so it hurts everyone unless you can fork over the money to have a seperate ventilation system, room, and entrance for people that do or dont smoke...

Sorry for the rant...I know a few local business owners that might go outta business because of that ban...

Hey Cris what kind of cup cakes??
We had 30 chocolate with whipped cream frosting, 5 chocolate with buttercream frosting, 5 white with buttercream and a little 5'' white cake with buttercream frosting. When we ordered the 30 yesterday Mad wanted chocolate, when we went to pick them up today she wanted white oneNormally I would have told her to suck it up but being that it was her bday I got the other platter of cupcakes and little cake for her. I am just glad I didn't put the other ones back, they are my favorite I have about 15 of them left in my fridge. I just hope my pants still fit next week after I eat them all

Tristan, we have had the no smoking ban for a couple years here...I'm sure it hurt business plenty, but it's nice to be able to go bowling again and not come home stinking like an ash tray....

Cris- your very welcome for my attitude, there's no one else I'd rather give it to....

Ironically thats how our local bowling alley was burnt down a few years ago, IIRC. Dang smoking employees! They definitely will be hurting as well...hey what do you know...AMF is another business HQed in Richmond thats gonna get hurt...

Circuit City opened their HQs up over the weekend for people to pick thru all the goodies at there corp offices...a lot of old employees were buying signs and things as memories...thought it was kinda sad.

The smoking ban here in Az hurt the bars a lot, my SIL is a bartender and her tip income has dropped quiet a bit since it took effect. The place she works built a patio so they wouldn't lost their regulars. Now the servers get to serve them and not the bar staff, thats what is hurting my SIL.

On another note she fried the engine in her newly paid off jeep last week and bought a 2007 Ford Edge this weekend! So at least I am not the only Ford in the family now!!

I feel ya Brent, we have a GM in the driveway and a Saturn in the garage. My family is full of GM/Chevy lovers..... I have to say I like to drive my Aunt's Denali, it has got some get up and go!!! We also have 2 Dodges rolling around in the family, a mini van and a Durango.

My cousin and her hubby have a 7.3 and a 6blow, I get along with them the best Too bad they live over 2 hours away
