What's going on folks? Havent been posting much lately. Just been jumping in for a few. I have been checking out info on a solid axle swap for my Yota. I'm tired of wearing out idler arms, ball joints, wheel bearings and breaking axles! The price on the kits are a little expensive for my tastes, especially sense I'm a welder and work in a machine shop(and know just enough about machining to get me in trouble!) The good news is that I have a buddy that wants to do the swap on his ASAP! I'll let him be the guinea pig!
Most of the info I'm finding is about people doing the swap with the kits you can buy. I'm not interested in High Steer and more lift, that the majority of the kits have. I've got a perfectly good '84 Yota pickup with all the goodies sitting in the junk. I'll just have to buy the lower gears to match my rear and some type of locker(I've groan quite accustomed to the one I have)...Enough of the rant about my basically dead end search.
I hope everyone thats going for a new job gets it.
