So I'm guessing Florida is starting to look like a really attractive option right now? Have you started asking yourself why you put up with that kind of weather for so many years yet?
You guessed correct!!! I'm going back to FL for a bit next week. JL has a doctors appointment with a bone specialist and I am not going to it.
I guess when you don't know any different you don't know better. The weather down there is soooo much nicer.
Id be afraid of a damn hurricane down in florida, that or someone like me thats used to the cold, would just be walking outside one day, and either spontaniously combust, or just melt from the heat!

You'd laugh if you saw pictures of the "bad" weather I'm complaining about.
The good news is my internet is fixed and working faster than I've ever seen it. The test now shows 3434 kbps. They either accidentally gave me more speed than I'm paying for, or they're just teasing me with a taste of high speed so we'll upgrade when the speed goes back down.
Ice on the roads and my truck won't start this morning. Looks like a fun day ahead watching wrecks on the news. Supposed to get above freezing by noon, so maybe I'll run to town then, but for now, looks like a lazy day.
Truck didn't start yesterday either. I wonder if it's because I didn't even stick the key in the ignition?
Yup -- I had the same "problem", Chris. Mine's nice & cozy in the garage...

Morning everyone
I do worry about the hurricanes. As far as the heat I used to feel the same way, that I'd melt. As I have gotten older my tolerence for the cold has diminished. Plus with my family there I want to be out of here so bad.
I can definatly respect the family aspect! Im not one of those guys that needs to be around his family, but my woman is, so I get to see what she is like, when she isnt around them, and thats no fun for anyone haha!
Speedtest. net
latency 1239, download 492 kb/s, upload 27 kb/s Whooooooooooo arent we smoking for speed!! On the good side its kinda slow right now, latency is usually around 700 (not like that is very good though haha) download around 700kb/s, and upload around 50 kb/s.
The gov run phone/internet company here just got a huge gov loan to get high speed to everywhere in the province though, in the next three years. I cannot wait for that to happen!
Oh Sheldy, every place has SOMETHING that "might" happen. I grew up in FL, and I'd take a hurricane 6 days a week and twice on Sunday compared to the tornadoes, mudslides, earthquakes, wild fires, etc. At least you KNOW they're coming and can prepare. I've been through several, and only leave for mid-Cat 3 or higher. And FL is NOT hot. I've seen hot -- two deployments to the desert in the summer taught me that lesson. It rarely if ever gets over 100* down there. The hottest I remember is 97-99 -- that's because of the constant breeze off the Gulf/Ocean, depending which side of the state you're on. Yes, it's humid, but I'll still take that over 110+ every day of the summer, even at 8%.

I would'nt laugh, but I think that you wouldn't be too happy with the weather here. I'll post a pic in a few minutes.
Maybe they are toying with you............

Haha yeah you have a good point there! I would never want to head over to the middle east, that heat is just.. insane for me to even think about!
I'll take it Jim! Our storm this week was only like 2 inches, not even enough for me to PLOW with the new toy! I think there is 8 feet on the mountain at our ski resort here. G'mornin everybody
NOTE 1: Smileys are once again working for me when I click on them. They were not last night.
NOTE 2: When I quoted Chris above, I didn't delete the picture, I just did not show up in the quote. I've had that happen a bunch to me and I'll be opening (another) support ticket to make them aware of this issue. Or perhaps it's now "a feature" of the upgraded software...

You can have it Travis. I keep thinking of palm trees and sunny beaches............
