Still arguing with OPT. His latest comment was that was an OEM piece that I had to take out and drill a hole in
I emailed him pictures of the pieces & instruction sheet with the missing part circled. I also pointed out I had already verified with others that the spacer in question was indeed part of the TransGo kit.
On a more positive note, I spoke with TransGo on the phone. They knew which piece I was referring to without digging up the diagrams, and the first comment from the tech help was, "I know this means you've got a vehicle down. I can either give you the size & dimensions of the spacer so you can make your own, or I'll ship one out to you for free."
I'll have my new spacer tomorrow courtesy of TransGo Still pissed off at Oregon Performance Transmission
Bad customer service spreads like wildfire Chris. Kudos to Transgo for helping you out and doing the right thing.
Glad this is going to be worked out from TransGo. It sux that OPT isn't willing to fix the problem. They're off my list now, too. I'm not sure if it's worse that they have no idea what's missing even after pics, arrows, & circles. Seems like they're either REALLY dumb, or they're playing the game so you get tired of dealing with them and go someplace else. Bastages.
What's that old saying? "If you don't take care of your customers, someone else will."
Got my spacer from TransGo today. California to Texas overnight to make sure they had a happy customer. Can't say enough good things about the folks at TransGo.

OPT has stopped responding to my emails.
Good deal, Chris!!! Put it back together yet??
I think you should forward them a link to this thread and show them how many hits it got. They just lot themselves A LOT of business.
Glad you got the part Chris, man, all over a small spacer. I wonder if they know the bad customer service is plastered on here. Send them this thread and see what possible customers they could have had, sad man. Great job TransGo..
Kudos to TransGo. I am very pleased with that and surprised since you are not a tranny builder/shop. They know how to take care of a customer. OPT, you suck. Glad I bought mine from CT performance. At least there was a phone number and someone to talk to. I will never buy from, nor recommend anyone buy from Oregon Performance Transmission based on this customer service. (I spelled that out so folks could find it in a search).
Chris, I would take this up via ebay channels too. That is unsat. Too bad Ebay is getting **** retentive about negative reps too, but this is unsat.
Think about this, if something similar had happened to me when I did mine, I would have been screwed for my live tuning at the last Smokin as I put it in days before I went there. That is why I needed to call the company and talk to a person who assured me I would get what I needed, when I needed it before I clicked on buy it now. Funny, I never thought to ask him if the kit would be complete. It just came that way.
Do you have a link to CT Mike? Might as well include a good alternative on where to buy in case this thread comes up in a search later. Google came up with CT performance diesel, but they sell a bullydog shift kit.
I bought directly from the idiot's website, so negative reps on ebay isn't an option (as far as I know). I've registered over at TDS & TDG, and plan on sharing my story there too. Any of you active in PSN or the others feel free to spread the warning.
The spacer is in the main VB Joe, but I'll probably wait until Thursday to get dirty when I stick it back in and flush the tranny. Need to read Marks article on how to do this. My truck is just pull the drain plug, drain, then refill through the side hole, and I've never needed a shift kit for it. Even comes with a spare pedal so your left foot doesn't get bored while driving through town.
LOLOLOL... Nice one, Chris. All but two of my vehicles have been hand-shakers, so I now about the leg workout in traffic. All you have to do is pull the rear cooler line from the tranny, hook a chunk of clear hose to it (the line, not the tranny!), and start the engine. When BIG bubbles show up in the line, time to top off the pan again. Repeat until the fluid is super-pretty red or you get to 17qts. Do you have 20 qts? Which did you get? I have three brand new Mobil1 ATF jugs (full of brand new fluid, too ) sitting in my garage...
Good deal, Chris. Glad to hear things are going your way now.

I know who won't be getting any of my business in the future.
I've got 23 qts of Mobil 1 synthetic. Where is the pump located at? Do I need to put fluid back in the pan before I start the flush procedure since the pan and VB's are now empty, or just start the procedure as is? I really should read the write up before I ask these types of questions.
