NOT DEAD YET...
I saw a post a few days back that asked what happened to some of the early posters in this thread. My excuse is that I have a short attention span, I found a '63 thunderbird and I had a stroke. All projects are at a virtual stand still right now. My right arm and hand are messed up and I am in therapy to try and get them working right again. Progress is slow. And there is always the money thing. Also I had to face reality... I decided to put the '54 Ford C-800 COE cab up for sale. Hate to do it but age, money, time and current ability are all major factors. Also typing with one finger on my left hand is very slow. I do read stuff here when I get the notices. Maybe in a year I can get back in the game. I'm not even driving yet.

WOW Dave, I had no idea. Wondered why you have been MIA.
That coe project was a dream for you.....hope you do finish it. Seems health issues slow some of us down, but not out......you do your therapy, and you will be back at it again, and soon.
Steve H. from Marietta, and I were talking about you, was your ears burning? LOL

I guess I am a darksider, entire power plant, drive train, brake and safety modifications, some suspension mods and comfort modifications such as A/C, not stock anymore, however it is a Ford in my Ford.
I used to be a purist and still am with some of my other vehicles at the age of 50 I went dark with my truck. I appreciate both sides!

Sorry to hear of your stroke Dave, hope the therapy gets you back to where you were previously. Sorry also to hear you have to let go of some of your dreams as well. Money seems to put a damper on a lot of the projects we'd like to do but it's far worse when your health goes south. Wishing you a very speedy recovery and when that happens remember to ease into things so you have plenty of time to enjoy life.

P.S. did you ever finish the F-Star

Dave, sorry to hear of your health issues. It kinda sucks, when we finally reach a spot in our life when all things necessary fall into place where we finally get the truck of our dreams, only to have to put things back on hold to let our ageing bodies catch up. I sincerely hope your body catches up fast, so you can get back to what you love and deserve.
