eg: Dad's constantly speeding. He tells me to slow down.
To be quite honest most people I know say I'm a little smart@$$ so I don't mind if other people are. I just thought I was about to get a lecture which would have gotten me pretty irritated.
oh and if I had a nickel for everytime someone called me a smartass, well the truck would be paid for. I was talking to a great gal friend of mine just today and I think she called me one at least twice in about 15 minutes....
I got an embarassing story. Saturday night I'm driving to wally world and I go to take a turn and end up in the ditch. The reason I went into the ditch was there was no shoulder and the ditch was sorta deep. I got pulled out by a toyota mini truck.
But the toy was spinning its tires and all it did was give me a slight traction advantage for the most part the truck got itself out.

Hey to be fair, I don't date fat chicks either.
...or skinny chicks...or short ones or tall ones. I don't usually lecture, not unless someone is being abusive (in any fashion) or completely ignorant and arrogant , at which point I can get pretty serious. We don't typically see those behaviors in this forum though.
I got stuck in the PSD ONCE...a few years ago in some pretty deep snow.
The snow was a few feet deep, and I was on some backstreets plowing my way through a good bit of it when it started to compact under my front axle. Before i knew it I was stuck. Snow was real wet, almost the exact consistency as wet concrete.
Well I managed to anchor the truck about 20 feet away from a busy road that had been plowed. Anyway this little Acura SUV thingy came drivin by. Guy got out, puffed up his chest and said "I'll pull you out!" I sorta giggled under my breath but I allowed him to take a stab at it..and so he tried to pull the truck out...all that little SUV did was slide around all over the place like a yo yo on a string.
Pretty soon a big lifted van stopped by...didn't pull the truck out but they had a shovel. We had to dig her out and red pulled out under her own power. I learned the limits of the truck that day.
Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
When dad had the 2000 7.3L DRW with utility body we were cruising around the site of a future subdivision. We hit a soft spot where we'd dug a test pit and sunk her up above the axles. When I stepped out of the truck the ground was level with the bottom of the door. I went and got the Dresser equivalent of a CAT D6 (Dresser TD15E) and a nice big chain to pull her out. It got out, but it took me a full day to get that truck clean again.
Coming home (I was 17 at the time) I decided to take a shortcut and go through our pasture. Well we have a creek that runs through our pasture and I had to cross that to get back to the driveway. Well I didnt even make it to the creek. The ground was saturated for who knows how long (we needed to unclog the creek) and the front of the truck literally sunk right in. My step bars were in the mud. I could BARELY open my door. Well I broke my come-along and 4x4 just wasnt gonna get me out, and didnt.
I felt a lot better the next day when my buddy came with his flatbed. He dug the flatbed into the ground and began winching...the flatbed was getting pulled toward my truck even with my truck in neutral! It eventually caught almost 4 feet later and began to pull my truck out...MASSIVE ruts.
Our tractor got stuck in there 3x after that trying to resculpt the creek and had to use the front loader to get unstuck. It was like quicksand mud!
Like Lisa mentioned, we managed to get everything done today and head home...and I'm glad to be here. The past few days haven't been the most fun with all the driving and bad weather. And I lost $5 to Lisa.
So i had a '89 Suburban 4x4 1/2 ton. I had forgot something out at our barn when we left on Saturday. So i went to get it on sunday. I didnt have a set of keys to the front gate and it was raining. Me being the lazy Bast**d i am decided that i would take the farm roads around the back of our barn and get there that way. Well the farm fields are at a slope so all the drain water ends up in a pond at the bottom and they can re-use it. So there the road that goes along the pond and then theres the road that goes all the way up and around. Naturally i decided to take the shorter route. Put it in 4wd and made it to where the pond was... Then i started sliding... toward the pond. I stopped with my two left tires about a foot away from the water. Called my buddy with his 4x4 blazer. He got to me and started to slide and got stuck. Went and got a back hoe got about half way out there and relized it was only 2wd. Ended up taking a john deer "mudder" to get us out.
