Lisa....you said ya liked my Elk tattoo, here's a closer look for you. Designed by yours truly. I'm off to lunch with the wifey, then pick up Arianna and go show off her costume at her work lol
I personally dont have any, and wont get one. I wanted a few before, but it seems like everyone has one, and its almost out of the norm ot not get one!
The ones i was gonna get was a homer simpson head on the rear of my right shoulder, a canadian maple leaf on my right arm, with made in '79 under it, and on the left arm I was gonna get a whirly wind with a smily face coming out of it.
If the tat has meaning for you get it, who cares if everyone else has one.
I know what you mean though, I got my belly pieced and about a year after they became really popular. Now I wish I would have never got it but I am too stubborn to take it out.
LOL... I'm inkless too. I ALMOST got one when I was overseas the first time, but chickened out. I still might do it. Eagle with a flag in the background on my shoulder. The more I think about it, the more I want to do it, but then I think about getting one at almost 40. Just seems kinda funny.

You should get one! Come to Phx and we will go get them together, I need someone to hold my hand again
I've got 2 tats so far, and have been collecting ideas for my next one - 1/4-sleeved on my left arm - probably be a combination of symbolism from my ancestry - Irish, German, & Native American - all B&W though
i can see getting your kids' names as a tat, or part of one - but this one idiot i know got HIS OWN NAME put on his arm.... then again, he probably was stupid enough to forget it some days
12 yrs ago I looked VERY different - long hair, ears & nose pierced... then I grew out of it - tats aren't like that - i take MONTHS to find the right design, and then it finds me - it's like something i wasn't born with, but should have been
nice design on the elk, and the lines look crisp - just remember not to scratch, SMACK!

I couldn't picture you with your ears and nose pierced.

My wife had her belly pierced, and I always thought it was hot. Then we were pregnant, and well, lets just say it had to go
