When I water cooled my PC, it wasnt such a great experience......
I have cooled my laptop with iced tea before, and it wasnt so bad..... take out batts, open screen, turn upside down, and leave in hot truck for 6 hrs.
that was actually the advice given to me by Dell's help line, That computer ran for another year after the tea party with no problems. When I turned it in to my IT guys for my new Thinkpad, they asked me why my computer was full of sugar ants......
lol Leo. Yeah I'm not so sure they'd like that either. I do 99% of my design/consultation over the internet. I almost never meet clients in person. I'm like the troll under the bridge, except I sit in the corner of a big office building.
Sweet! That'd be awesome Pat. I have a 12 pack in my fridge that Randy left there that hasn't been touched, free for the drinking. Actually what I really need is a big enclosed trailer that I can take to Iowa one way. The biggest Uhaul has is a 12 ft by 6 ft and I cant find a nationwide company who rents out trailers that are any bigger than that. I dont want to rent a truck, I just wanna throw all my crap in a big trailer and hook up to 'ol red and be outta here.
Have you thought about a pod? Or even purchasing a used enclosed trailer, and re selling it??

Actually yes. I looked into a company called ABF U-Pack, which is sorta like a POD only cheaper. $1,000 to move my house, and thats only if I don't go over a certain square footage in the trailer. Its sorta retarded...they bring you a semi trailer to pack, but if I go over 12 foot by 12 foot of space, I get charged $37 a square foot...even though they'll be paying the same for the fuel and semi truck driver. I have a feeling I'll end up getting screwed hard on that deal.
I had a few people interested in the house and had also made comments to my realtor/their realtor about the possibility of me leaving some of my furniture. I was hoping someone would want all my furniture and I could just pack up my clothes quad tools and pictures and be done with it.
As far as buying a trailer goes...yeah I did think about that. About $5,000 for a trailer in the size I'd need...and no guarantee ill be able to resell it once I get there. I don't have $5,000 that can afford to be held up like that.
Quick note, that little bit of Master Formula I used seems to work great, without a whole lot of elbow grease that seems to be involved with Neverdul. You know, that stuff has been around since the early 1900's, Eagle One just bought them fairly recently.

i was just going to say the same thing, enclosed trailers around here are coin. I helped a buddy recently look for one and hauled it back for him from Summit County. He paid $6000 for it and it was a 6x18ish Wells Cargo model. Beat to crap but it was the size he wanted.
I hate dealing with those U-Haul people though. Seems like every time I rent something from them, they screw up something.

Nothing. No big deal just had a crappy morning and it wasn't what I wanted to see when I logged on this morning. I'm probably just taking it all the wrong way.
Didn't sleep well and I'm anxious as hell. Going to get an offer on the house today. I have no idea how much.
Good luck with the offer Lisa! I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Funny over-clocking came up -- I'm messing with that right now. I just picked up another CPU to play with off ebay -- Athlon 64 3200+. It's supposed to run at 2GHz, but I'm running it right now at 2.25 GHz. It still gets a little unstable though. How high can I run the core voltage up before I should be worried? I believe it's supposed to be at 1.4V, and I'm running ~1.575V. This is on air cooling -- don't care to tinker with liquid cooling. I had good luck with my other chip (Sempron 3000+, 1.8GHz) by just bumping the clock up to 2GHz. I had it running 2.1 GHz for a while, but didn't test it fully before the the 3200+ got here. Any of you O/C gurus have some words of wisdom??
Lisa: Hope you get your full asking price! Man, it's gotta be tough right now.
I'll probably head out and work on the EBPS tube and door lock actuator. The passenger rear is starting to act up, so the pesky thermal relay is getting bypassed...
Thanks Jay. I haven't heard a word yet and I'm going bonkers over here.
Yeah I should send it to him and act all serious and see what he does.
If he has never had any experience with a single axle, fairly heavy trailer he may think it is a good deal. But I would not even tow that thing around the block. More men will chip in here for you probably, but needless to say I have done lots of trailer (heavy) towing because of my drag racing career. I also towed a U-Haul from Baton Rouge to Fairbanks behind a motor home. Let me tell you, that was no fun.

Mark, relax. It was a joke, intended as a joke all along. I posted that ad because I found it humorous.
We used one of those moving companies to move our son to Cali once. Rented X number of feet for Y price. Do not remeber which company. They were a nightmare to work with. Tried to tell us at the other end that we used more feet than paid for
I will try to find out who it was so you can avoid them if you go that route. They have all your stuff hostage if you do not agree to THEIR terms. Not fun
