Yes that is the hardwired keypad. Your code should be printed on a sticker somewhere behind the dash. Most of them I believe are up behind the raido in the Super Duty trucks. Otherwise you may be able to get your dealer to hookup and read it off the computer.
Yes, the code was behind the radio on a small black box. I had to use a mirror to see it.
Not to hijack your thread but i have a question or 2 about mine. I have an 04 with the bulky ugly wireless keypad. The battery is dead in it and im having a hard time figuring out how to replace it and the directions int the manual are bleh. I got the front cover off then the membrane is exposed, but im afraid to pry that out of the back cover, it just doesnt feel right when i try that. Also is it true that you can only buy a replacement battery from the dealer??? I really wouldnt worry about it, but it would have been nice to have this morning when i locked myself out of my truck when i got out to clean snow off the windshield. I have a hidden spare underneath the truck, but you can imagine it wasnt fun crawling around underneath there when its in the 20's and snow on the ground, especially since its been years since i put it there and i couldnt remember where it was. i couldnt feel my hands by the time i found it lol. So id much rather be able to punch in a number and be on my way. Any insight into this would make my day
You can get these at doorkeypads.com. I looked for many, many hours for one for my new 2010 Tundra Crewmax and this is the ONLY one I found that did not require cutting my door or drilling to run the wires. Another big plus for this model was that I was able to install myself, so I didn't have to drop off at a stereo shop, etc to get installed like would have been required for all the other systems I saw... After having one in my 2006 Ford F150, I really can't say how handy a feature this is to have... especially if you have small kids...
