Hi, when i bought my truck it has a keypad on the door. I thought it was stock. ford said it wasnt stock. Does anybody know how to get the code or reset it? I would love to use it.
If it is only about a 1/4" thick it is the factory installed keypad. The code will be printed on a card that is usually put in the glovebox, or on a sticker on the keyless entry module behind the dash.
If it is close to 1/2" inch thick it is the Ford stick on keypad. The only way to get the code that I know of is from the card that comes with it (or you can try to figure out which one of the 3125 possible combinations it is by trying them one at a time).
Does the keypad light up when you push a button? If not then the battery is almost dead or it is dead, and you might not be able to try to figure out the code by trying them all. You can pry the front half of the keypad off to replace the battery inside. There may even be a sticker in there with the factory code, but I am not certain of that as I have never had one apart.
