Keypad master code

Is there anyone who can pull up the master code for my keypad? It's a 2000 X, and I looked behind the radio for the code sticker but do not see it. ANy help would be greatly appreciated!

As like you I searched high and low for that code by the radio with no luck. I am lucky enough a good friend of mine is a service manager at a local ford dealership. We had a service tech hook up a little laptop to the obd port. The service guy clicked on a few things and brought the code right up and wrote it down. The whole process took less than 4 minutes. I have no idea what this would have cost but a dealer should be able to get the code for you. At least now you know the effort and labor time so don't let them . If the price is high I would try to catch a service guy on a cigarette break and offer him a twenty . I have read something about a manual numerical crack the code method. Anyone know about that? Good luck.

The forum search is your friend!

The 2000's didn't have the code posted in the truck. Make sure you find the master code, sometimes the first code you find is the previous owner code and that one won't let you change it on the 2000 model.

You were lucky, from what I read about 75% of the dealers charge around $65 to pull the code. The string you are referring to (in my post above) takes about 10-15 minutes to find both codes on a 2000.

Doing this tomorrow. Don't pay the stealership... Spend the 65 bucks on 1/3 tank of gas...
