Not yet Morris, will keep everyone informed though, I think you would enjoy it, LOTS of old ford cars, lots of old ford trucks, lots of neat tractors and tons of miscellaneous stuff.
the past few rides i've been on i have seen more can-ams, less breakdowns than before. one guy at Rockford made it back to the trucks then it went up in smoke. not sure what the cause was, but that was a real nasty/muddy derby.
i've always liked polaris for the ride and the power, but they always seemed to be a heavy and high maintenance machine. hopefully thats changed for ya. i've never been a suzuki sort of guy, but after having this kingquad, i'd definately buy another one. honda would be on the bottom of my list nowadays, as they're pricey to buy, pricey to fix, and they're at the end of the pack for new inovations...
as the can-am renegades get more time on the playing field, i definately think they'd be the way to go. the 800 for 11900 is pricey, but you're getting a lot of bike there.
I was never a fan of the Polaris quads for the very same reason >> until my friend did the 8000 mile routine with only minimal CV maintenance. they are still too heavy but ride well.
I agree with the Honda view >> no innovations, just selling based on their past reputation
I really like the Yamaha, but the Suzuki and Kawasaki are well reviewed as well.
The Can ams are high performance machines - it seems like each size will run with the competitor's machines that are one size bigger.
I had helpers picking rocks during the mid day heat, plenty of water breaks on that job. That heat was just far too brutal, I`m glad I was in the Bobcat.
Yeah picking rocks would have sucked too haha. Guess the job needs to be done though.
I actually prefer doing the harder physical labour part of the job, just not when its in plus 30!
SOmetimes I wish I could find a job where I could do something physically demanding all day long and get paid well for it. Seems like the harder physically you have to work, the less ya get paid for it though.
No kidding. My neighbor is a engineer, gets paid a ton of money, yet cant fix his own lawnmower, so he pays me cash under the table (and a good amount of cash too) to do small repairs on his stuff, tractors, equipment, mowers, you name it.
