sure was a beaut today. we took the afternoon for a quadding trip on some wildlife trails near ebenezer... took our little girl. she had an awesome time.
no before us sherm!way before me and erin! and its a drug free zone now!
because we live across from the high school! and the only drugs i do is my high blood pressure meds and beer! but thats what the local cops tell us! and my neighbors!
but i don't care what this place was before us! i have it now and thats the end of it!
ok!!! i love my house despite that fact! but from time to time they do stop by!
which i think is cool!
Jack, it is great that you converted a drug den into a home. I know the local LEOs and especially the school system appreciates it. It is also great that you have made friends with both. It may get you a little slack if you screw up while driving. LOL
no there not painted red sherm. its the reputation this place has. there for a while some of the teachers over at the high school were telling the students that this place is still a drug house. we just wrote the school board a not so nice letter explaining the fact that its not and if they didn't stop we were going to sue them! and they stopped that. the first couple of years was kind of rough. there used to be a 8ft privacy fence between our
house and the neighbors house. and a 6ft around the back. and there for a while we'd get up and have a police criuser sitting in the driveway. but its calmed way down. of course i didn't mind about them sitting there, because i knew they weren't after us. but when i call them they don't waste any time getting here thats for sure. but thats how i met the local good ole boys. and they like us. and they smelled BBQ so they decided to stop by! and we hooked them up with a plate and glass of tea. but yeah that was a cool night! i had a beer and was grillin' and they didn't care! and it was me erin, martin, davey, and those 2. martin and davey are the neighbors! and they told us when they left is nice job on the house and if needed anything just call!
Jack, that is great. As you can now tell most LEOs are not that bad once you get to know them. Some do need an altitude adjustment (knocked on their ***), but for the most, they are just like us, just trying to do a job, actually a thankless job, one I do not think I could do. It is really a PITA that a few rotton apples gives the rest such a bad name. But they cannot seem to get rid of the bad ones. They just keep popping up.
Well, all I can say is keep them on your side, you never know when you will need a friend on that side of the fence.
it was really cool saturday just sitting on my front porch! having a beer and bbqing!yuh}$Ey7uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu thanx icy
Woke up to frost this morning. But at least we got warning last night. I think I lost one pepper plant but I had lots anyway. Maybe sometime the weather will warm up and stay there!
