Happy Sunday all. Working on the motor home today. Replaced one roof vent. I had to change the hinge from vent to vent on the bathroom vent. Put the hinge on backwards the 1st time. I wasn't happy. went to change it the 2nd time and my neighbour dropped by. Talking and working at the same time, I put the hinge on backwards again. I ordered a new vent $20.00 cdn shipped by Amazon. What was I thinking? it'll be here Wednesday. I've decided to keep the Motor home, and repair some wood rot. Next summer I want to use it to go to Kalan's ball games out of town. The same price as hotelling it, but we will save on driving time. The truck will kinda see the backburner, or maybe not. Have a great guy's.
Ain't no rest for John, he's wicked
Swore I'd never work in another camping trailer or motorhome again, guess thats another lie I told myself, lol. I'm the right size to work in them Grant but I still despise it.
We've had lots of flashes and thunder the last couple of early mornings but no rain, supposed to cool off to the low 20's for the next week. Hope it does as I'm digging post holes for the alley fence and theres no shade in the area, plus I get to modify my parts shed and move my 2 ton tool shed and join the 2 of them together. Don't worry, I'm gonna cheat and use my jacks, concrete stakes and chain hoist attached to the cats tree. If I'm not to mindless I'll take a pick or 2 to show that Wylie coyote wasn't always wrong
A nice Sunday, warm with a nice breeze.
Did you install a Pertronix or did you change the ignition switch on your Mercury truck Colin?
Time to finally take a day of rest from your truck John.
Just the ignition, the key broke off. I was going to install a petronix a long time ago but the darn thing starts and runs so well I have never bothered. It sits for long periods and all we do is pull the chock and turn the key and it is running. Today I got bored and painted the fenders on the 50, and they turned out pretty good for a rattle can job. I forgot to take a picture I will do that tomorrow.
It`s another warm muggy day here too John.
My 56 F350 starts so well too so I`ve never bothered with a Pertronix conversion either Colin.
What are you working in the way of a camper Perry? Do you have to dig the post holes by hand or do you use a powered auger? I have an auger attachment for my Bobcat.
Still just looking for a 5th, but not in much of a hurry for it Morris, off season is coming up again so my search will get a bit more intense then. Going to look for something in the 36' plus range, have a 28' available to borrow if I need it.
Posts get dug by hand, 4 in total but only 2 of them get concreted in. Its a temporary fence that gets pulled next spring/summer when truck is in basic running shape or better. Need to set in a track and a rolling chain link fence and gate. Have a garage coming next year so I need to put in a 30" wide walkway along the shared fence and reinstall my gate. Lots to do but when its done my yard will finally be a normal functional yard from front to back and will look nice enough to have company over
