I love the Kenora/Dryden area. Beautiful scenery. My wife and I were talking about taking a fishing holiday this summer to Lake of the Woods. I'm only about 1/2 hr away from the west Manitoba border. When we travel back east we always drive our first day from here and stay our first night in Dryden.
Lake of the woods is beautiful for sure. I'm about 3 hours from the Manitoba border over here. The white shell area by falcon lake and west hawk lake looks like a awesome place to ride too. I just got into sledding a few years back, so I got a lot of catching up to do with all trails that are close, lol
Oh I love sledding, I could see myself owing one now till I'm too old to ride. I'm about 50/50 with the trail riding. We are always trying to find some powder, lol
Outstanding looking machine there Colin. She treating you good?
Yes I am loving it and it is treating me real well. I really like the seating position, reminds me of my old bikes. I put skis off a Nytro on it and it does way better in the powder and now I am looking at extending the track.
Did you get new tires or plug/patch the holes in the originals? Either way, nice to have them fixed. Flat tires suck.
Watching little kids play sports is very entertaining. I'm glad you can still speak in terms of "winning and losing". It seems that the current education system and its educators are trying to eliminate that concept. Its more of an "everyone wins, just in a different way" concept?? I tell my kids, in life there are winners and losers. Work hard to make yourself better than the next person and you will be the winner. The concept of no winners will leave us with generations of kids who can not and will not apply themselves to be better...
We have some pretty decent trails around kenora/dryden. That's the area I live in.
I'm trucking my sleds right to Manitoba. Visiting the in laws in pinawa for some of the holidays, nice having my sled there when I start to get coped up.
Pinawa dam, one of my favorite places to stop and have a bite to eat. Good access to all directions from around there.

If it happend we needed a meeting place I'd gladly, gladly get the mancave ready. Have enough room in the back to slide probably 4 trucks/trailers and can easily make more room. Lot's of room in the mancave to relax and get ready and wind down at the end of the day. Southbeach casino is also a 45 min sled ride away(30 min trip by road) and will accomodate guests on sleds or vehicles. Secure grounds as well. Cheap to stay there too, $59 if I remember correctly. Randy I know has inlaws up the road from me. I think he'd have the longest to go, 12 hours I believe... Heck, I'd even fire up the heat in the camper. Could sleep a few in there but depending on weather could be a bit uncomfortable.
Basically, whatever it takes guys/gals

There are some 136 brackets on kijiji here in MB. FYI. Just type in Phazer and they'll pop up. I may jump on those a-arm protectors. $40 bucks is worth a try now that with the Fox's on, it sit's so low in the front.
I've been looking at the skis, watching ads as well. Would like to also try Nytro rear springs on it as well. Bottoms out so bad when I jump or hit a whoop at speed.
Had a buddy change my alternator on the eX the other day, he built a Phazer. He want's to supercharge mine and put a Doo track on it. 136 with the stock tunnel. Tempted but I try not to go into the motor of anything I own.
Seating, bars and foot position is almost Identical to my race quad. That's why I like phaser so much. Just missing the 50" axle in the rear that I just can't get used to cornering

Thanks for the tip on the brackets I will have to check that out. I got my skis from the dealer and they weren't a bad price. I have a friend of mine trying to talk me into a turbo for a Phazer.
Good evening Brett, Colin, Curtis, Grant, Gerry, Randy and Sherm. Time to turn out the lights.
Day two of no flats! My tire shop takes the tires off and patches them on the inside. I`m glad my tires are fixed now it`s getting colder again and that`s when I hate messing with flats even more.
We`re still working on Christmas shopping and grand kid`s Christmas concerts.
