i gave up on sledding in the prairies. for me its not enjoyable if the snow doesn't cover the stubble. i'd love to see it turn around and get 2-3ft of snow before christmas every year, then build on that, then you'd see me off to the rec dealer with checkbook in hand!!!

i hope you get enough snow for a few rides !!!
I know what you mean but the majority of my friends here ride alot and they go up to the Duck Mountains around here. Lots of snow there and usually by now the trail is groom up there.
I've been pondering since I moved back about buying one and my boys like to ride with Dad so I just bit the bullet this year. And lol and behold we hardly get any snow before Xmas!
i saw guys sledding on the saskatoon snowmobile club runs today on my way home from work. The trails arent open but they were doing it i couldnt believe it might as well just run it there in summer cuz there was hardly any snow at all. And i saw on the news to that there were a couple places in saskatchewan that have over 100kms of groomed trails open
Out around my farm there isnt really enough to go sledding. I mean a guy could, and a few people have, but I personally wouldnt go yet till theres at least a few more inches of snow.
No kidding, it was quite the site to drive past. One semi actually lost it driving west, spun his truck and trailer through the center between both sides of the highway and land up half assed upside down, backwards, on the east bound side, facing west!
He must have had to change his shorts after that ride.
