I happen to rep those whom I find to be the most helpful, or funny.
I think I follow the same idea - if it helps out the forum, contributes in a way to make it better or keep the good times going, then I'll rep. Great tech, new idea, posting great pics on an old idea, helping out where you didn't have to, coming to the aid of someone (FTE or not).... maybe even for a great recipe on ribs!
Positive contributions to this group gets 'em from me. Has anybody ever gotten 'dinged' for something negative? I mean, had 'points' taken away? Just curious...
Ive thought about trowing out some neg reps but I just couldnt do it...not to anyone in this forum but some guys in the other forums on this site. I didnt want to snoop down to there level.

I feel like you Chris. I will not give anyone a negative rep. To easy to leave the thread and try to help someone else. I have heard of a few people getting red rep.

Last, come to think of it only red rep I've seen was tagged on that clown that was advocating high speed chases. Have not seen or heard of him since.

I saw a guy somewhere on here who had a red box, just dont remember who. Ill usally say somthing directed to the person I feel needs to be spoken to.

I've only seen one member on here with a red box and I was surprised by it. I'm sure there are plenty with negative reps outside the 7.3 forum, but I never leave the 7.3 forum so I am ignorant to it.
Oh well! Chris has it right. If you have a problem with someone, say something to them about it instead of just being passive aggressive about it.

i Did once, i went to the guy and apologized for what it might have been that caused it, thankfully a mistake.. Although, if I keep hanging out with Mark, something might change

Never knew about the red rep before. I think the classy way do do it if somebody got out of line(hope i never did) is to pm them and tell them why your dissatisfied with there comment or attitude. This way they realize they made a mistake and it stops there without further embarasment. Just my 2cents

Wanna come talk to my neighbors? Instead of somebody telling me the little dog was barking constantly when I went out at night, I got a nasty note on my door AND one from the police a few days later.

Brendan, i agree it doesn't always work, if been there as far as neighbors(man i,ve been there, 3 homes). Thats the difference between a good neighbor and a ignorant one. Moved my family out of the burbs out to the country with a great school district and this one neighbor a couple house,s down said to the other neighbors" look out, the new people moving in got three kids and their going to ruin the neighborhood". How do you like that as a welcoming mat. In my eyes they are pieces of crap, didn't even get a chance to meet them yet. 15 houses seperated by a acre apiece and still got an idiot on the block.
