Reason: BAD mispelling
Hope all of you get to do some fishing today. Nothing more American or down home than some good old fishing.
A little bit of what's going on here, just in case anyone is interested.
Just fired the grill here. Going to be throwing some beer brats on soon. The pit has been going since early this morning on ribs and I just pulled those off. Fresh macaroni salad is in the fridge. I just poured me a Bacardi and cranberry juice and Mama is taking a little nap. Looks like a thunderstorm is coming in from the south and it's starting to sprinkle now. Big drops though. Hoping it won't ruin my grill time and that it rolls through here fast.
I hope to get off at 06:30 in the morning. I have been here since WEDNESDAY morning.
I am a fire Captain and my relief called off with a kidney stone. If he don't show in the morning I won't leave til Monday.
So Scott, enjoy your week off....I will have dang near worked a solid one for ya.
Rest assured I will catch up on the fishin.
Not to mention the overtime and holiday pay will be SWEET.......
Joe, my father is a firefighter in Vallejo CA. That's about 20 miles northeast of San Francisco. I can totally relate to what you are going through as I grew up surrounded by firefighters. My hat is off to you, sir. Be safe out there!

Being bred and born in the Houston area, I am not too familiar with the Vallejo area, but I guess I have been thru there when we drove to SF for the day from Reno. I hope he's not involved with any of those wildland fires. Now that there is a tough job. Mine here aint so bad, lots of rich peeps in huge houses.
Yes, if you drove to Reno from SF thenm you drove right through Vallejo. I was born and raised there before moving to Texas for my employer.
My Dad is actually an Office of Emergency Services (OES) coordinator and he does do a lot of time with wild land fire control. He directs strike teams and air attacks from a mobile command post. Back in the day he was on the front lines.
Being a firefighter is a tough job no matter where you are. It's a noble profession for sure. Yeah, I'm kind of partial to firefighters.
The ribs are good but the brats are going to be bad ***. Mama woke up from her nap and I've got her at the stove boiling the beer.
