I'll renew this 'old' thread with some plain old english. I installed 'the cure' and just driving around a little bit, I LIKE it. In a week or so I'm going on a 1K trip to see if it REALLY works. I just wanted to say that this advertised 15 minute 'plug and play' install is a bunch of bull. It took me over an hour, I would like to have my video camera and film someone do it in 15 minutes!!!

I did in about 10 to 15 mins ,,,What gave you trouble ?...
yeah just from reading about it on the site and talking with madvan its totaly different, banks tries to get decent shifts by interpreting your throttle and adjusting the line pressures to what it thinks is good, its not that great of a product.
the cure is designed for the tc operation, it has no effect on pressures or shifts.
madvan, feel free to correct me if i am wrong
I guess I should have told you that I (as well as Rick) am a professional wrencher. I guess with experience it will take 15 minutes. Glad to hear you got it in and like it. I love mine!
For the Record the only thing The Cure and Transcommand have in common is that they are boxes that install in the trans harness. One works well. One not so much. One helps your tranny, one not so much. I think you know which one works and helps. If not see my Sig!
I would not put a time to install on it.
Some can install faster than others.
Rather see someone do the check, recheck, check their work.
Yes it can be done in 15 or less. I can but would not be fair, I have done to many.
But will say i have installed one wrong myself!!! Thats what i get for BSing during the install.
Using the OEM connectors is the best way to get in and out of the harness.
Splice/crimps ect would lower cost but raise corrosion/connection issues.

With fear factor removed now, and a install under your belt Iam shure you can do it in 15 or less.
Your not a newbie installer anymore
Feels like a whole new truck.
The control was built to fix some ford issues and prolong the life of the TC and trans.
The performance gain is just the icing on the cake.
I cannot drive without it. Feels like something is wrong with the trans.
hey bill, can you get a video of your truck wide open throttle shifting?
I will try and get one. Its a PITA with gear/tire combo. The OD shift is somewhere in the low 90 mph at WOT. At WOT the TC is locked and Has 4 positive shifts. Its under the WOT where you will feel the TC like a gear change (5 positive shifts). I have my TPS set low at .63 idle and 3.8 WOT. I would have to find the records but the change over voltage for TC lock (early) is in the 3.? area. Have tryied higher WOT voltages with no gains (G-Tech tests). But it will change throttle angle for the TC lock (higher voltage vs throttle angle). It forces the change over sooner.
Also when you look at my shift points you will notice that the TC locking drags the motor down more (rpms fall more). It makes it feel more like a gear change. This is due to my TC is a 2.27:1. I run 3.55 rear gear with a 33in tall tire. The 2.27 TC has a higher torque multiple. OEM TC is 1.93:1. The motor is relieved up to stall rpm. Makes it think truck has a taller rear gear. Hope that made sense.
