I'm getting stocked reading this thread.
I have done some searching but haven't found a clear answer as of yet, maybe you guys can answer it.
My truck is completely stock - I am wanting a DPtuner with several maps but I'm not sure which map will be the highest I can go with a stock truck and still get a noticable benefit from it. Any ideas?
From what I've read here so far, no start - stock - 60T - 80E - now here is where I'm stuck ..... 100 or 120? TIA
Skip them both and go with 140, from what I hear you can hardly tell a difference between 80 and 100. 120 and 140 are for fun and smoke...might as well make as much smoke as possible.
Ok guys I have the best news ever!!!! My dads truck was getting 13.1 on the lie o meter and 13 hand caluated now with 1 days worth of driving the lie o meter says 18!! thats a 5 MPG increase. Is that un beliveable or what. I love this tuner

Unfortunetly the lie-o-meter is doing its job...lying, the lie-o-meter gets totally screwed up with the chip, it always reads high. Mine says I get 18MPG to but I'm lucky to get 13

This statement totally contradicts my past post
Yep, did I say that here already? I don't care. You will wish you got smoke in the end. AND there is little SOP difference between 80E and 100. (This is pure parroting, but I have to believe it)

Good to hear! I haven't towed with mine, but I agree 100% on driving it empty.

How much does the decel tune run? Is it the regular price or custom? As soon as Jody gets back from his week off, I'm placing my order for a new tuner. I currently only have the flashed 80e PCM. I planned on getting no start, stock, 80 tow, 80e, J Brake, 140 Smoke. I very rarely tow anything with my truck.. maybe a 6x12 trailer for hauling my atvs around in but thats it. Is there any difference between the 80 tow and 80e? I can't see myself ever towing over 3,500 pound at the max. Mostly 1500 or less.
I do like the Jake Brake for the sound... reminds me of my manual tranny days.
yea thats the main reason i want to get the decel tune is for the jake brake sounds. but also for towing my boat i just need more info on if its a seperate position on the f-5 or what

You may be dissapointed in the sound the EBPV won't sound like the brake on a big rig. It's like a muffled mini version, your not going to shake the surrounding buildings or anything.
