Yeah, put the tune between the tow tunes, makes sense.
Did you look at my sig and figure it out now? I chucked it between my two tow tunes that way it is only a click away for when I need it. Towing is the only time I REALLY need it. I just use it in econo for fun.
I have been running two tanks of fuel through every tune to see milage on each. The weather is not cooperating, but the 80E is shinning and the 60T is TANKING. This is contrary to what everyone tells me, but I have the numbers to back it up.
To whoever, it is not on the website bc I believe I am one of the first to get it.
If you wan't the cooler lope idle tune, ask for Kris' Smoke-lope tune.
Can you explain this a little more? How does the tune perform when the truck is driving and not just idling?
What is the difference in smoke level between a 140 smoke and a lope and smoke ?
Doesn't dumping that much fuel into the engine in the 120 race and 140 smoke and lope and smoke tunes place a lot of strain on the injection components?
I have a TS chip and am interested in trying out a new DP F5 thanks.
Well here is the final list. No start. 80 economy, Jake brake, 80 tow, 40 tow, 140 smoke, 1100 idle, lope idle. 1 question do I need to get the over boost analyzer from ITP diesel or will I be fine
Thanks

All it does is retard the timing to where the engine should have fuel injected near TDC compression stroke, instead it injects it when the piston is going down on the power stroke, which makes virtually no power. It smokes blue and white like a train when you putt down the road. We left the bowling alley last night and my truck was cold, so many ricers were in the parking lot, so i switched to 8 and just left the parking lot in a nice white haze. 140 smoke is when the fuel is injected when it "SHOULD" be, and the smoke-lope tune is just for fun.

OBAnnihilator I don't want you to look goofy when you call.
Yes, get one. You may be fine w/o it, but it is cheper to get now than any other time. You can get it from DP-Tuner when you order the chip. They are the exact same ones ITP sells (bc Dennis sells them to Jody). There is no price difference on where it comes from, but if you get it from Jody you get it shipped with you chip and save on shipping.

Got it thanks! I didn't really understand the lope/smoke setting.

On the flip side of this, Dennis also sells DP tuners. If you know what you want and don't need to talk to Jody, then Dennis can get you one on the way, might be a little faster for the Left coast folks.

That is true. I live on the Great Coast so it is about a tie. Actually, stuff from Dennis has to go through two UPS depots and Jody only goes through one. Either ITP or DP you are better off to get both in the same place to save some shipping.

Actually, as an edit to my earlier post...... Has anyone gone to Dennis' site and clicked on the tuners icon? Period. End of story. This says it all right here.
Copied and pasted directley from ITP's web site.

There are a LOT of Performance "tuners" and "chips" on the market, but we have not found any that perform better than the tuning from DP-Tuner. DP-Tuner programming combines excellent power increases with the best in driveability and offers it in the industries best multi-position "Chip" (16 Position "F5").
We believe so strongly that DP-Tuner programming is the best there is that we've quit offering tuning products from anyone else!
