I believe Kris has been through about all of the tunes. It comes right back home now. Get a decent tow tune. 40 or 60, 80 econ, and a race tune, 120 or 140. With a stock HPOP you will see little gains above the 80 econ. At least that was my experience. I about wore my truck out on the strip comparing and the 120r was not much better than the 80e because my stock HPOP could not support the demand. The lope and smokes are for fun, just remember that.
nice you definatley wont be dissapointed... so when you ordered the jake brake what exactly is it called bcuz im gunna send my tuner back to get the smoke-lope idle and the jake brake tune
I think you would want it on a tow tune, you won't need it if your not towing.
That is correct. And I went with the lowest tow tune for two reasons.
1 - You will hopefully never overheat so you will never have to not use it.
2 - You are slowing down...why do you need power?
Decel Tune. He will want to know if you want it on 40,60,or 80 hp.
I guess I still don't understand this yet. With the Decel Tune, is it a drivable tune? I thought it was only for slowing down. Could it be added to both tow tunes I have?

My understanding is its activating the EBPV to act like a exhaust brake and telling the TC to lockup. It would be best for it to activate the EBPV when on the brakes or off the throttle. That is how mine is setup, but mine is a separate controller, not the on the DP. I haven't talked to Jody about it but it seems you would have a 60TD (a 60T with the Decel tune on it). Drives like 60T untill you are on the brakes, TC should unlock at about 35 MPH.

Nope, it is a stand alone tune ONLY FOR BRAKING!!!
ok so i dont get it if i were to be towing in 80econo why cant i have it the decel tune hooked up to 80 econo while im towing in this tune? and then when i want to break just go up or down on my tuner to "jake brake" and then switch back to my normal 80 econo when im done braking

Correct, Driving....80E...Braking...40D...Stopped...80E...K eep on truckin'
The "decel" tune it not redundant. There is no such thing as a standard "decel" tune. There are tons of options to choose from. Jody will go over these options when he talks to you. You tell Jody how you want it and he will make the tune perform that way.
