STG, I found a deal today that Imight run with for the Ranger. A local mustang guy around here has a 1970 DOVE 514 stroker short block for sale. It's already got the SCAT stroker crank, Eagle H-beams, J&E pistons, all clevite bearings, 4 bolt main caps, balanced rotating assembly, harmonic balancer and flywheel, Ford Racing Victor Jr intake (ported for NOS). The thing is a fresh build (as in just run on the dyno before he pulled the heads back off!) and when he had it together with the Blue Thunder ported heads and Holley Dominator 1050 cfm carb it pulled 850hp on the dyno. I didn't believe it, but he showed me the paperwork. He wants $4500 for short block, intake, dampner, and flywheel! Shoot, this might be the way to go if I can swing the funds.
I need a sponser, anyone want to donate some $$ to my cause so I can go out an spank some chevy and dodge butt??
