the f150s gettin a 4.4 inhouse diesle i thought? i could be wrong but its a inline 4 or something along those lines. i thought i wasnt commin out till '10 thou?
oh.....thats lame....i was just hopin the 6.4.....that be nasty!
does anyone know towing capacity of the 09' f150 with the diesel engine?
The 09 isn't going to get the diesel engine.
They were talking about it, but it isn't going to happen. Last I heard they said it'll come out in 2010, but I question that one too.
IF it has the HD payload package with at least 4.10 gears and 17" wheels, then it should be over 11K.
Pretty good for a half ton.
IF it gets a diesel at all it will be the 4.4
I think it is a 6 cylinder, and some estimated numbers I heard were 325HP and 525ish ft lbs
Light Turbo diesel in a half ton with that much power could do some damage.

but it could also bring the awsomeness for what im looking for.....a mix of tow vehicle and DD.....instead of buying 2 vehicles ill just get one very expensive one....
you do realize a with the prices of new 5.4 F150s a diesel will probably be in the 35K+ range. For 07 F550s the 6.4 option was almost 7 grand over the 6.8 price. We went with the V10s because of it.
mconn@embarqmail.com Kris i think you already had my email but just incase u didnt, im not feelin too good bout the test, so if i fail im outta the minions then?
