the guys are Seige are pretty cool. they will probably hook you up on whatever is causing your sticking valve. Have you talked to them yet?

If anyone is concerned I'm so far very happy with siege's customer service they told me about the problem and sending out a new valve. so hopefully its going to be fine.

I am looking at gettin a train horn set, but can probably only fork out 300 bucks. I have a few questions though. What would be the best tank size to get. I was thinking 3-5 gal. And how much should the minimum psi be on the compressor? A set that I could use for more than just power my horns would be good. Also, I'm off road quite a bit, so I was thinking of putting it in my tool box. When you have to drill holes in the toolbox, is there a good way to seal it so water won't get in?

if you want a 3-5 gallon tank look into siege-engineering i got a 3gal kong setup and its great and i got it for under 350$ on ebay. im not sure on power tools im hoping it will be good enough to run any tool or air up tires when something happens and im away from the shop. i'll give it a try tommorrow. if you put the compressor in the tool box im sure you could patch up the holes with some silicone sealer or any kind of thing like it.

and i'll grab some pics on my setup even though its not in a tool box it seems really clean (which i really was picky about) just have to fix up some wiring when i decide how i permenatly want it.

What do you all think of this set? It looks like it would have everything I would need and its free shipping, just can't tell if its good quality or not. http://stores.ktperformance.net/Detail.bok?no=442 If i were to mount the horns under my toolbox facing towards the rear, would people in front of me cutting me off hear it, or would it be best to put it under the hood somewhere?

If they sell train horns that are 152 db loud, isnt that dangerous considering that at 160 db you can go deaf instantly??

152 db is louder than a fighter jet as well, dont know if i want my 16 yo using it at the school parking lot or on the streets if it will damage peoples ears

bruno thats a scary thought but i wonder what my set of kongs is rated at. some places say you can set your horns at about 175db so i'd be worried about the horns like that.

at how many feet is that rating? I wouldn't put my head in front of my horns.

I mounted my horns right under the passenger side front of the bed. They fit pretty nice there and they are pointed straight down towards the pavement. They are really loud!!! They are good quality and pretty much comes with everything.

I went ahead and ordered another 5 gal tank and another set of horns for mine... I just wanted the noise to be balanced out and have more air for tools/filling tires.....LOL...

My 16yo is quite responsible, drives the truck now with me in it and drives with a light foot, have to tell him to get on it, but i know the power it has and that it would be a horrible life for him if a scratch is on it, or a ticket

If i remember it was at 5feet, so i can only imagine if you were closer to the truck

Well Guys, I gave up on the weather warming up to install my horns. I have a Tues. appointment at a custom car/truck/tuner car shop. I should be terrorizing my neighborhood Tues. evening. I'm having them install an A-B switch on the dash, and hooking the compressor up on my upfitter switchs.
